The YMCA of the North Shore is a fantastic place to work out!

I have an amazing trainer who has taught me how to push the boundaries of what I thought I could accomplish. At 71 I am in phenomenal shape. My physical well being affects my whole life.

It has been a while since we last visited the man at the front desk gave me new cards and was very nice and answered all my questions.

I love the second floor facility, particularly its natural light, but also, very importantly, its staff. I have particularly praised Jeff Hunt in the past and am particularly happy to praise a new member of the team, Justin Camerada (I think that's the correct spelling...) who I have recently encountered. They're on the same team in more ways than one.

I might add how delightful it is to be among a wide swath of ages, from high schoolers to old guys like me.

The only glaring deficiency is the lack of table tennis tables. The beauty of "ping pong" is that, as one gains proficiency, it provides increased physicality without the danger of falling, a legitimate fear for we older folks.

Very pleasant atmosphere

It's a great place to go to use the machines and swim in the pool. For my friends with young kids the childcare room looks good - my kids are grown, but I'd use it as long as the adult staff knows what they're doing. I find it's never too crowded during the times I am there. I also like that everyone I interact with at the YMCA is polite and friendly, from staff to members, but they respect my focus too.

Love the variety of classes. All the instructors are fabulous!!

Clean and Friendly... Not much more you can ask for. Sports director is very engaged and feel extremely comfortable signing our son up for any sport activity. Keep up the good work in this close knit community.

We have two boys in the Early Learning Center and cannot say enough about the program. The boys (4.5 and 2.5 years old) are challenged, they are supported, and they have fun. They both love school and my husband and I love the program, staff, and enrichments. The children work on their social skills, emotional growth, and letters/numbers/songs, etc. The staff is always engaged and they are always reading - which is lovely. There is so much organization and each lesson plan for the older children is spot-on. A month dedicated to bugs for example and our son comes home with lots of facts and excitement about this; ELC piques his interest in so many concepts and subjects.
The office staff is always friendly and supportive. We've told everyone we know with children to get on the waitlist for the ELC at the YMCA. My husband and I talk on a weekly basis on how positive we feel about the program. Thank you ELC!

The Y , is a great place for me and my family, spent time with my children, niece. I usually go every day and I feel so good doing my exercises, everything so clean, staff so friendly, enough parking lots, snacks. I was feeling so tired and sick, after I started working out I feel so great. Thanks YMCA!! I hope others families take advantage of this great place and join in with their children!!
