The classes have been fantastic and everyone is very nice and friendly.
I felt very welcomed as soon as I entered the facility. Your membership Team is very helpful and welcoming and assisted me with a class registration that I was not familiar with (which I thoroughly enjoyed). I was even greeted by the Executive Director! The facility was clean and well organized.

Welcoming the minute you walk through the door. Something for everyone.
Friendly staff. I live near Sterling Center, but drive to Ipswich because over the years, I have found everyone from Front Desk staff (Missy!) to Trainers to the Director Chris are more welcoming and attentive than Sterling Center. Kerri, one of the Trainers is especially spectacular in providing safe, individualized attention to her clients while also keeping an eye out for members using equipment in a potentially harmful way.
Ipswich could use an expansion to provide more Studio area and a space with small tables, coffee service so members could gather to socialize. It would also be a plus to offer mobility/stretching/balance classes (like programs in Kelly Starrett, D.P.T. books) or Pilates with certified Pilates instructor. Members may also be interested in Tai Chi instruction.
Welcoming, helpful staff, great classes and all the facilities to work out in a comfortable environment. It’s become an important part of our fitness routine.
The teaching team/staff are phenomenal.

In short, the Ipswich Family YMCA does a great job serving its community - from toddlers and elementary and middle schoolers to young mothers and elders. The tone is set at the front desk when Missy and her colleagues welcome you back. Classes are really good, tailored well to different fitness levels, interests, and styles. I have not done personal training but know members who are very pleased with the coaching they receive. Staff is always helpful, professional and warm - a reflection of the Y leadership. For what we get, I believe the membership fees are very reasonable, especially when you add in what the Y means to the Town of Ipswich.

And the men’s locker room needs a serious rehab. Carpet, lockers, etc.

The Y has everything I need, form classes to equipment. It is clean and convenient to get to.

The building is easily accessible , niice equpment and a pool.
Clean facility with a variety of classes for all ages. Qualified instructors who make classes fun. Only drawback is limited availability in some popular classes due to sign up restrictions. My suggestion is open up sign ups at start of day when Y opens not 24 hr before start of class. Or eliminate sign ups and make do. Studio A could hold more people if kick boxing bags were stored elsewhere.

Friendly atmosphere. Great staff. Main area too small. Over crowded
I have used the kids club babysitting at several north shore Y’s. Last time I visited the Ipswich Y the 2 individuals at the kids club were very cordial, greeted us and were engaging my son and other kids in the room when I picked him up. My son was also very happy about his experience- would use this service and the Ipswich Y for registering my son for activities- just wish the facility was larger!
The Y in all communities has something to offer everyone. Bigger is not better while smaller YMCA usually have smaller membership are less busy and still offer a first class facility. I am recommending the Y to everyone one I know.
I stopped by Sunday to check out the facility and to stretch a bit coming back from NH
