I took the hydro fit class and was VERY impressed with the instructor. Her name was Ruth. Despite the fact that the class was large, she was very aware of all of us, guiding us, encouraging us and continuing to remind us to go at our own pace. Every week she had a new ‘toy’ for us to deal with be it the noodles, kick boards etc. Before each exercise she would thoroughly explain what she expected us to do.
I am a summer visitor to Gloucester and know that when I return home I will have to look far and wide for an instructor who is as well prepared and gracious as she is.
I congratulate the Y for having Ruth on staff. I only wish I could take her home with me!!

The Cape Ann Y is almost brand new and is a great facility with very new equipment.
Everyone I dealt with during the membership signup was helpful and knowledgeable. I have only been going for about 10 days but everything about the Y has met my expectations.

We loved the Cape Ann preschool swim lessons. My son thrived in the class and was excited to demonstrate his new swimming skills.

The Y has everything I'm looking for and a very pleasant environment. The staff members have all been very helpful and pleasant in nature.
One suggestion: I'm a Pickleball player. When the courts are going to be used for something other than Pickleball, it would be helpful if you notified the Pickleball players ahead of time of that change. I suppose it could be posted on the website though I hate the idea of having to check it every single morning to ensure the courts are open. Maybe it could be sent in an email, like the one that sent me this survey.
