I have recommended the Y to family members and friends, they say the Y is too expensive to join,they belong to another gym close by that is cheaper per month

Quality of facilities and helpful staff.

Clean facilities, friendly staff, and rarely if ever have to wait for what I want to do. Wide variety of classes. Membership reflects the community. It feels very comfortable for someone who exercises in shorts and a T shirt instead of fancy athletic wear.

Great teachers, facility, friendliness of staff, cleanliness, offerings. I appreciate the little "heads up" signs around the Y too - about locking things because there have been thefts, about how you do background checks on members, etc. Good to know but not in your face. It's a great place - more than just a gym. I'm new to Gloucester and I've met some wonderful people through the Y.

I love the classes offered, many options and excellent instructors. Vanessa is amazing and i love how open and helpful she is in offering alternatives to people who may not like an exercise or have an injury etc. She does not shame you and keeps you motivated. Also the gym is always clean and everyone does a good job cleaning after using machines and equipment. It’s a beautiful facility with lots of light and openness.
