Why are you so likely to recommend the Y?

The Y has been a huge part of my life growing up on the Northshore. The new facility is fantastic and a welcome addition to Cape Ann. My entire family is enjoying it. It’s well run, very clean, the staff is happy and engaged and the members are a good cross section of the people from our community. I’m really enjoying it.

Swim lessons!

Walks around the neighborhood (aka shopping center!). They are the light in everyone’s eyes!

Communication from the director has been awesome!

Teachers really try to know what helps each child when they need distraction or nurturing!

I love the facilities, they are all brand new and clean and there seems to be new games and toys all the time. The teachers are wonderful and my son reelly enjoys his time there.

Our swim instructor, Lisa, was able to meet each child's needs and keep different levels of swimmers engaged through fun games and individual challenges.

What do you like about our program and activities?

I absolutely love the water classes. I attend classes offered by Scott, I think he's a great instructor, he keeps you going and keeps the lesson interesting. I always feel like I've done the best for myself that I can. The class is fun, entertaining and works out every part of the body. It has allowed me to make new friends and I look forward to going to the YMCA. The fact that the facility is always light, bright and very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I think the YMCA is one of the best things I can do for myself.

The after school staff in Rockport is terrific. Caring, personable, and communicative. Our daughter loves it there, and the activities & crafts they do. Terrific program and value, and our youngest daughter will be joining our current 7 yr old next year in the program when she starts kindergarten!
