My son has a serious mental illness. The Y is the only social connection he has every day, 7 days a week. He is treated with dignity and respect and so much kindness. The Y has been part of my family’s life for over 40 years! The Beverly YMCA has been the best Y ever. Keep up your exceptional integrity.
The Greater Beverly YMCA has a large pool, and there is the space for 14 lanes. I would recommend that at least two lanes be reserved for lap swimmers between 5pm and 6pm. Unfortunately, there is only one lane reserved for lap swimmers on Tuesdays and Thursdays during this time. This is a reduction from previous years. During the time the single lap swim lane has been overcrowded, I have seen empty lanes in the larger pool.
Pickleball has a large time slot for open play. Very friendly group.
The pool is large and open mid day for lap swimming - not crowded.
Friendly and welcoming front desk!
LOts of class choices.
We’ll run, welcoming, and convenient.
Clean and family friendly
Ansley is always very helpful!
Clean, well-maintained, nice staff, plenty of parking
Very likely! Love the ckasses
It is clean, has a huge variety of equipment which is well-maintained, and although there is always a large number of people working out there is plenty of room and available equipment. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful facility
We love the Y swim program! The teachers are patient, encouraging and kind
It's a good place to care for my health.
Very knowledgeable and friendly staff!
I like that the programs and activities are age appropriate and the instructors are kind and supportive of the kids.
I am a huge fan.
Not only of how versatile the Y is for me, personally, but that I can also support after school programs, disability programs and a strong, positive and diverse community.
And I don’t say that “politically”; I have always seen that the best communities, the best “villages”, are always diverse. The shortcomings of any monocultural system cannot supply a society with what it needs to be resilient and strong, and the YMCA is undeniable evidence of that.
Free class for kids under 3.
It can be a little loud at the pool sometimes.
I love this program, but the water temperature is too low, and my child is shivering.
Busy place but friendly and clean
The facility is excellent, and I truly appreciate the two hours of childcare provided. It’s such a valuable service for parents. That said, I believe the experience could be even stronger with additional staff available to help soothe children who become upset. I’ve observed several mothers (including myself) needing to leave early to comfort their children, which can take away from the intended benefit of having that time to focus on wellness. While I have not yet tried the pool or group classes, I am looking forward to doing so. My hope is simply to feel confident that those two hours can be spent worry-free, knowing my child is fully supported and cared for.

Love the Beverly Y. Friendly staff, well maintained. Lots of things to do!
i wish we used the Y more than we do currently. That being said we have felt it has been a very welcome enviroment for our 3 young kids and we have really enjoyed both the swim lessons and gymnastics program!
