Amazing staff and program. Kelcie has been attending the ymca summer camp since she was 5 years old. She has had an amazing experience and couldn't have asked for a better program and staff.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Each person I encountered, from front desk to registration to orientation, listened to me and made relevant suggestions to meet my needs. I felt very comfortable and welcome. I am looking forward to a solid relationship with the YMCA.

There are a few instructors that are not that great with children. But the ones that are make up for it. I also love that the teaching is hands on that was unfortunately not done at our previous place.

It's friendly, welcoming, and clean. The equipment is high quality and there is plenty of it.

It’s fun for the kids, but also very structured. My daughter loves it so much.

Jimmy and team at the drop off and pick-up tents are great, they are friendly, patient, and accommodating. My kids love the archery, ropes courses, and pool time. Some activities could be thought out and resourced better like music, art, and arcade but the good programs make up. I gave 9 because of the team and the camp itself. I do recommend both the camp and Y all the time as its good value and my kids enjoy it there. However to the corporate entity and policies at be I'd give 5 at best. My main issues are: 1. Camp registration this year was a mess with the last minute change from 10am to midnight the prior day, meant I was unable to get my kids into the specialty camps they wanted b/c a I missed the one email that was sent about the change. 2 It would be helpful if there were additionally payment options, instead of getting slammed with the full payment the week before it'd be nice to be able to split the payments up monthly or on 3-4 parts between the January sign up and start if camp, this would've made it much less painful for the following situation. 3 Refund policy, I lost my job in early June more than 60 days before our late Aug weeks and was unable to scale back any of the time we'd booked in January when I thought I'd be fully employed without penalty. The inability to even drop the aftercare was a punch in the gut from an organization that values community inclusion and promotes their need based aid. The"death" as the only full refundable condition is a little harsh, especially if its more than 60 days notice and you have a waitlist. Because, I was forced to continue with camp extra week & hours I no longer needed nor could afford I will be forced to drop my family membership at the end of the month, That's a 10 year relationship spoiled by one thoughtless policy.

Lucas enjoyed the camp Star program and each year he leaves sad because he does not want camp to end. I really wish there were more programs like this that we could send him to during the school year. I think he misses seeing his camp friends from other towns and the staff. Great camp they do a fantastic job with our kids. Feel safe dropping our son off and he comes home tired, smiling and full of stories about his day. Thank you for providing this opportunity for our children.

A my son absolutely loves it, he has connected very well with all the counselors and staff and successfully completed a fourth year of summer camp. He will be back again next year can’t wait!

The Y has something for everyone, from children to adults and seniors. The vibe is welcoming, helpful and friendly.

Camp STAR is the reason my son Lucas is able to attend camp at all. For years I searched for a camp, or program that can allow for my son to be and feel included alongside his peers. Finding camp STAR was a blessing for our son and our family. Having adaptive programs is pivotal for families that have children that require additional supports to be able to adapt to programs with peers.
I would love to see more annual programs, afterschool programs, adaptive services offered for most/all programs that are offered. Gymnastics, swim wise program has already proven the need and the growing number of diagnosed children the need outweighs the opportunities in our communities and that os unfortunate. I wish we did not have to turn kiddos away or not develop programs for children with need.
Camp STAR has a phenomenal program that has taken the hardest adaptive program being camp, long days, challenging transitions and so much more and they have some really great assets, i am sure ideas and innovation to grow programs to market to a new demographic, also increase memberships with families seeing options for all their children and inclusiveness will grow family memberships this growing your community. I would sign up 100% and Lucas loves being at the YMCA but other than camp we don’t go because of the lack of adaptive programs. Leaving us with not investing in family membership.
I also see a lot of families through my job that would benefit with more programs for our kiddos and through teens and young adult ages.
I grew up where church had a program for high schoolers but that doesn't happen anymore, our kids still need places to go and social skills vs computers, ipads or TV and not all kids take to school sports nor do they have adaptive options. I feel if any YMCA can grow an adaptive “all around Family” program it will be this one. Camp STAR has really thought of it all. KenzieDresner is a jem, Jimmy, John all of them honestly working collaboratively. I wonder what they could do given the chance! You have some truly fantastic and passionate team members that I am sure would love to see more of these kiddos throughout the year.

The facility is amazingly clean modern and the staff was very helpful. The other members that I interacted with were very friendly and helpful also.

Excellent equipment. Plenty of room for working on my personal goals.

My family loves the y because there’s so many amenities, especially for small children. All of the staff are very friendly and professional.

Kenzie is amazing and deserves a raise. Jeff is amazing too. If possible I would have police during drop off and pick up as people are extremely aggressive driving.

Outdoor everything, it’s safe, counselors have great energy that translates to happy kids, I couldn’t be happier with how accommodating everyone especially Kenzie has been to enable such a great camp experience for Maxwell. She has gone above and beyond,

The Y has been an on going constant in my families support circle. The programs offered grow with our needs and each season and summer seem to get better. Wonderful staff, clean spaces, new activities. Thank you Beverly Y!
