I love the Beverly/Sterling YMCA!!! From Tim Flaherty at the top to the stellar Member Engagement Team, Kids Club, Welcome Center, Sport Center programing, Gymnastics, Acquatics & Fitness. Great amenities, fantastic staff, nice facilities and helpful staff.

It's a friendly, cheerful place! All kinds of folks there, all shapes and sizes. Very convenient, good parking, good hours. Staff is friendly. I always feel good after some exercising at the Y!

For the price, there is no other local gym with the same amenities. I can go to any Y I chose, and I have full access to all equipment, i have the ability to book private rooms, unlimited free classes, tennis/ pickleball courts, swimming... The Y is also really great about offering discounts- they have a long list of employers to whom they offer their employees a monthly percentage off membership. I truly recommend the Y to everyone. Based on how often I'm using the various membership benefits, the monthly cost is very reasonable.
Most importantly: I have never had a bad experience at the Y, and I have been going my whole entire life. Every single employee has been courteous, kind, and helpful. I consider the gym a vulnerable location, and admittedly safety was a big concern for me when finding a gym. Every locker room, class, training session..., I have felt safe and as though my privacy was honored.
Anyway, I love that I just waxed poetic about the literal YMCA, but I really do love it and I think the employees deserve so much recognition for creating such a positive experience.

So many activities for a great value. I love that there’s something for everyone in the family.
The gymnastics class was small enough that my granddaughter got a lot of individual attention. She learned a good amount of new skills while still having fun as a 5 year old.

I love the Y because it offers a plethora of opportunities for everyone to participate in moving their bodies. I really appreciate that you can start off slowly but can move on to more challenging tasks when/if you are ready without having to switch to a different organization!!
