The CorePower Balston studio is always welcoming with a great vibe for C2 yoga or YS or CSX class. The studio is very clean and seems well managed. My favorite location in the DC metro!!
The teachers, for the most part, are really welcoming and lovely. It's generally an inclusive space. I wonder, though, about letting men, and people who identify as such, practice shirtless. When I walk into class and see men without their shirts on, I don't feel safe. Men should definitely shirt up, here and at ALL Core Power studios.
Billy, who is, I believe, the studio manager, creates a fun, safe, accepting environment. The studios always seem sparkling clean and classes run efficiently, but the space never feels rushed or crowded; everything is paced well. I always look forward to going to classes there and have brought friends and relatives in on "Buddy Passes."
It would be great if:
1) There was hand sanitizer provided in each of the studios. I noticed it’s not in Studio 2, but consistently is in Studio 1.
2) Instructors reminded the class to align the front right corners of their mats to the black tape lines on the floor, especially when the class is full. I feel awkward asking people to move, but it’s unpleasant when people’s feet are right in your face because they misaligned their mat.
3) Instructors gently reminded the class to wipe down their weights and blocks at the end of class, and assured the class that they are being thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis.
I love that the classes are challenging and that I am able to push myself in a group environment!
The instructor was very friendly. Provided clear instructions along with options. I felt very comfortable for my first time with Core Power.
Emma and Billy are great. Clean studio and great classes. Keep up the great work Ballston!

Me and my roommates go to Mason's Yoga Sculpt at Ballston every Monday night- she is the BEST ever!! Love firepower, best work out and so fun!!

It's a great studio, very clean, with amazing instructors. Every instructor I have, I love. They make you feel empowered and are easy to follow. There is no intimidation here as they always make everyone feel welcome
Jamie's class was absolutely top notch--one of my most favorite I've ever taken with CPY!! The work she put into the sequence was evident and beyond appreciated. Can't wait to go back and commit to her Friday AM classes :).

It was both a great work out and a great wind down at the end of the day. I was challenged but didn't feel as though I had to keep up.
