In addition the YMCA provides various outside activities (such as bus trips) that promotes friendships and community building.
I think the only thing I would say is better communication about what the campers need to do for the day/week. For example pajama day I was not informed. Also one day they didn't need to bring a disposable lunch and I had to run home to get an ice pack and lunch box so the food didn't go bad. I was late for work because of this lack of communication. Other than those two things my kids love it.
Camp counselors have been wonderful. Kids have had a blast.
Pickleball
I am a lap swimmer and no longer swim at the Y because the water temperature is too cold for me. If it was raised to 82 I’d be back. I’d love to come back to the Y,
It is evident a lot of time and effort is put into this program to make it successful. Between the various themes across specialty camps, swim days, field trips, activities, games and fun and engaging counselors, my son had nothing but fun and good things to say about his time each day. I appreciate the dedication to learning the core values and teaching kids along the way. Every effort is made to keep kids of the same age together and counselors seem genuinely happy to be apart of the kids day. I greatly appreciate the communication and passion from the Director of the program. Hannah is responsive, flexible and genuinely cares about the kids and success of the program. My son already conveyed he wants to be at the Y next summer for camp. We will be signing up once available.

I really enjoyed that my child liked going every day. The new themes for the week were fun for them.

This camp is AMAZING. This is our first year doing the YMCA camp and we will continue with all 4 of our children. It's such a great program that promotes healthy habits and the Y's core values. I love that you can mix and match the weeks and camps that fit with your schedule and children's interests. Hannah and the counselors are incredible. 100% recommend.
First, the staff and counselors are fantastic! Second, the programming is great and my daughter had fun everyday. I love the concept of the ribbons to encourage positive behaviors. Third, the hours are great for working parents.
Our daughter very much enjoyed camp this year! She loved Swimming weekly at the Y, the various Field Trips and Water Days! She made so many new friends and looked forward to each day!

The specialty camps my son attended this summer (art, science and sports) were so well planned and well organized. The field trips were fun locations. The counselors were all amazing. Hannah does an excellent job with communication. We love the French Creek Y!!

Variety in fun field trips and swim days
Friendly staff.
The Avon YMCA team led by Hannah are a well oiled machine. You can tell the whole team is very passionate about making sure the kids have an amazing summer. I am VERY impressed with the way Hannah and her team responded to the tornado warnings in our area this week. The team was calm, cool and collected and worked through keeping the kids safe and calm.
I've enjoyed several aquatic and yoga classes over the past few years. But the constant cancellations, and closing if the pool, is very annoying. You have to find a way to keep you staff so this doesn't happen.

Foundational focus and keeping kids active
Both of my kids attend the French Creek YMCA summer camp at Avon East. We absolutely love the camp! My kids love all of the counselors and all the activities and field trips that they get to do. As a parent I really appreciate the hours the camp is open along with how many weeks of camp there are. It really helps us as working parents. I'm looking forward to bringing my kids back to French Creek YMCA for next summer.
The variety of activities and field trips has made this an amazing summer for our son! We are looking forward to summer fun at the Y Camp, for years to come Thank you!
