Friendly and helpful staff, they were keen to make sure you found what you needed and answer questions. To be honest in the past I've found that staff were a little snobbish, i.e. feeling like they ignored you if you didn't look like it was worth their bother to sell you a big ticket item. That hasn't been my experience lately.

Once I found out that plastic is a suitable, durable material for snowshoe construction rather than the type with a metal frame, I returned two days later to buy a pair. I met John, who was very friendly, and quickly found the type I was looking for. He also told me that Wild Rock has their clearance section downstairs. I will revisit when I have more time to look throughout the store for what is useful to me for wildlife photography. I like how easy it is to find what you are looking for in uncrowded displays and your helpful and engaging staff. First name removed

My only main criticism would be that it would be nice to see more clothing/products that are 100% natural without the synthetic blends, especially more 100% wools.
Wild Rock is a Canadian distributor for my favorite brands like Sea to Summit and Katadyn. Usually they stock the gear that I am looking for, but if they don't they are always happy to place specialty orders on my behalf. The turnaround is really quick, and their prices are reasonable. Also, their rental canoe gear is of excellent quality and light weight.
