We live in the Highlands and drive to Floyd County since the downtown Y doesn't have swim lessons at a day/time that works with our work schedule. We've only been to 2 classes, but so far we like it!
This place is very clean. The pool is cold so you can swim laps without passing out. Again the place is so clean. Employees are very friendly. Love this YMCA!!

Water classes
The YMCA has so much to offer and for every age. It can sometimes feel like my sanctuary. I enjoy the warm water activities, senior classes, senior activities and outings, swimming, kids pool for grandchildren, sauna and steam room. Everyone is friendly and cordial to one another. Shout out to Margaret Brooks, the instructor for warm water activities. She is amazing with a kind heart which goes beyond teaching water activities. She also has a kind word, and if something happens to any if us or our family there is a card to sign for her to send. Her kindness goes beyond teaching warm water pool activities. Thank you!
