Nice equipment and seldom too crowded
I really like the facilities that are provided, and the staff on hand has always been incredibly helpful and kind.
The layout or quantity of work stations could use adjusting. For instance:
UPPER FLOOR
- The 4 walking treadmills are fairly spread out and you could probably include an extra station. Plus rarely are more than 3 used at any time.
- The cycle machines are often separated for some reason. They used to be clustered and there were 3. Now there is only 2, which is frustrating because my wife and I like to cycle together and often there is someone else there.
MAIN FLOOR
- There is only one cycle machine, but tons of tread mills, and it is in the form of a road bike, which is very uncomfortable for long durations. I have noticed that these road bike cycle stations are used far less than the seated version. It would be nice if there was a seated cycle machine as they are more comfortable. Also, people like my wife like to read why they are cycling, and this makes that easier. Also I have noticed that people who are trying to get back in shape often migrate to this type of machine. Probably because cycling is a familiar exercise to most people and the seated version is less intimidating and comfortable.
- There is only 1 bar bench press, and 3 barbell bench presses. This often leads to people jockeying to try to get the 1 bar bench press. Perhaps a 2 and 2 combination would work better as there are also bar bell presses upstairs.
LOWER FLOOR
- It'd be nicer if the heated pool were a little bigger. Most days I do want to go in there, it is packed.
- The downstairs classrooms are kind of a gray area. Obviously if a class is being held we can attend or stay out, but are they available outside of those times? Could one of those studios be split in half to create a cycle studio? With the popularity of cycling in Tulsa and the Tulsa Tough race, perhaps this would help those that like to cycle in Tulsa to join this studio.
My wife and I are architectural / interior designers so I suppose we may elaborate a bit more than usual. Thank you for listening.

This Y is clean and great equipment and resources.
It is so nice to go to the gym in the morning and virtually have the place to myself. Its appears to be a well kept secret. Nice gym. I have a membership at another gym but i prefer the TCC-Y gym. Awesome benefit of being a student. Thank you
