Tom & Ann Hunicutt Family is the only place I’ll take my son for swim lessons ! They have the BEST swim instructors! Swim Instructor Sarah has known my son since he was 3, he’s now about to be 5 and on the local swim team at Hidenwood Pool in Newport News! Thanks for teaching my son Grant how to swim with a warm, gentle, supportive approach that pushed Grant to strive to be his absolute best in the water ! I will be returning ! And I will continue to highly recommend all the swim instructors of Tom & Ann Hunicutt YMCA !

Amber learned a lot and was able to really work on some important skills. Ms. Leigh was amazing with her and she will be missed.
Ms Anne Marie cares about her kids and has a ton of patience. Bjorn learned a lot from her and was equally excited to go to swimming and learning from Ms Anne Marie. Hopefully in the fall he can be in her class again.

My daughter’s had a wonderful experience with swim lessons and I highly recommend the Y for anyone looking for swim lessons. The instructor was attentive and made learning fun and engaging. They took the time to find where each student was at with their swim skills and teach to their individual skill level.
We really liked the skills taught during these swim lessons. Since the age group of the kids was so young, I got in the pool to help out. Otherwise the kids spend a lot of time waiting on the wall for their turn while the coach helps the other 4 children one at a time. But we loved the YMCA space, and multiple lifeguards watching, and we had a great experience overall

That the YMCA cares about ALL age groups & how they can meet their needs. You even have something for my Age Group, which is Silver Sneakers. I also enjoy the Pool Aerobics & the Family Swim time.
I enjoy seeing the changes you are making to the "Y" as it will accomodate more people which will be good for the Community!
