The atmosphere is quaint
I've been attending Silver Sneakers since spring of 2024, and the program is absolutely terrific! Our teacher Tina is upbeat and really encourages all of us - no matter our age or ability - to do the best we can with what we have! Moving to the music and working on cardio and balance is really critical to good life. As the cherry on the top, I've met a ton of really nice people in the class. To make the experience even more fun for me - I see a bunch of little tikes every morning as we gather for the class! Recently participated in a wonderful holiday project coordinated by one of the Sneakers attendees - stocked shoeboxes with Christmas gifts for needy children. In addition, the class gathers for a pot-luck luncheon several times throughout the year. There are many other programs that look promising, so I plan to try other classes in the new year. The YMCA has been life-changing for me.
