The facilities are nice and clean. I am new, so haven't explored everything yet. Impressed with the pool, ladies locker room and the sauna so far.
One things that I had a problem with is the steps in the pool area. I didn't expect any steps. I walk with a rollator after both knees being replaced twice. I expected that every YMCA would be ADA compliant. While I understand that is difficult for older building to change. I had thought it would be a priority.
On my first visit to the pool area, I got trapped trying to get from the pool into the ladies locker room. I didn't know there were different ways to get there. I couldn't open the heavy (fire?) door and go up the step with my rollator. A nice person came by and held the door for me. They showed me a different way to get in that had no steps.
Just wanted to mention this. But, overall, I couldn't be more happy with joining the Campbell County Y! Thank you for serving the community in such a worthy way!
Swim
I haven’t gotten familiar with all the programs available yet. I’m interested in swimming and other physical activities.
The late hours during the summer. The accessibility and convenient location. Everyone is friendly and helpful.
I like that there are a number of different group exercises and activities to get involved in and as someone who has mobility issues and suffers with pain daily I really enjoy that there is a class that caters to me as well and that’s the water aerobics. I can be in the water where I’m weightless and still have the opportunity to exercise like a normal person.
I primarily use the workout room and it provides an adequate workout.

I enjoy Silver Sneakers exercise. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility seems clean.
Liked the instructors. Enjoyed body combat. Durr is my Y so I enjoyed the different instructors and their fresh approach to classes.
They are built for All Ages!!! Love the Senior services. Silver Sneakers are our favorite and working out at the gym.
