Friendly, helpful, well maintained facility. Love the pool and steam room. The sauna wasn’t very warm though. Maybe it’s user error.

I think the Downtown Y is a great place to focus on health but it is also an ecosystem for growing people of all ages into strong members of our community. It provides a positive atmosphere for all people to be healthy in mind, body, and soul.
What I like is that I can go swimming also camping programs including gym activate community .I like the Hixson Pike area location company .
Excellent friendly staff, clean facility, and lots of programs for families.
Here are things I love about the downtown Y:
* The hours - whether I work out early in the morning, during lunch, or after work - I know that I can stop in at the Y.
* The free weight situation - the additional squat racks, the room with additional weights, and all of the machine options are fantastic.
* The pool - We love the pool.
* The locker room situation - the towel service, sauna, and ample room in the locker room is rare within a Y setting.
Everything and everyone is very encouraging.
How convenient it is to get the exercises that your body needs on a daily basis.
I love the racquetball court. It’s the main reason our family keeps our membership there.

I like the variety of classes you offer and having the two pools. The atmosphere is great too! Nice staff and patrons! I enjoy the deep water exercise class and yoga classes, especially Amy’s.

Great Y. Been using the pool while Hixson is updating and painting. Awesome staff and super Lifeguards. The team that keeps the locker rooms clean is appreciated.
Lots to do! I used to use the weight room, but then after hip surgery I can use the pool and take classes. There really is something for everyone.

Pickelball!
The new gym equipment and set up of facility provide great workout space. Staff super friendly, even early morning. Only wishlist would be a cycle or group class around 630am or after work 530ish. There’s no cycle class that meets those needs. It’s either 530am or mid morning. Great workout spot though!
I love the classes that are offered.
Zumba Gold is my favorite!
I love Body Flow and the Active Adult class. I also enjoy the water aerobics classes.
I usually do 30 minutes on the weight machines before a class.
