Everything!
I like the variety of classes. They range from easy going to challenging. The instructors are knowledgeable and accommodating.
The Y is a welcoming, inclusive organization with many opportunities to try new things and meet interesting people.
Love body pump and Maggie the instructor. Great workout. Also appreciate the sauna and its upkeep. Childcare has been a blessing too, I’ve never had any issues. Facility is clean and functional.
My only “wish” was that childcare didn’t have a break midday. It would be nice to have the option to workout between 1Phone number removed, but I understand that’s probably a lot of additional resources and money and maybe not as many parents workout at this time.
I really like the classes and the community.
The energy, the kindness and the commitment of all the instructors and participants. I feel welcomed every single time!
I love the classes! Particularly, Les mills combat, body pump and grit.
Cleanliness
There’s such a wide variety & always lots of active participation, which is encouraging and makes me want to learn more.
I love the variety of equipment and workout areas, and the fact that the Townlake YMCA is always looking for ways to improve. The facility is kept so clean always and the staff is wildly friendly. I always feel welcomed & encouraged to be there!
There are SO many classes, the instructors are great, and space is usually available.
The variety of times and classes. The teachers are excellent!
All ages and demographics welcome. Love the classes and price point
Clean facilities. Good instructors.
Friendly atmosphere, clean facilities with an excellent range of equipment and weights, very helpful and nice staff, and an excellent group of personal trainers available at reasonable cost if you want individual attention.
A lot of choice for classes, great instructors, friendly vibe
I'm pretty satisfied with all the programs at the Town Lake YMCA.
However, I'm completely distaisfied with no response at all to the President of the United States,
Racist public display, of former president Obama & First Lady Michelle Obam, as apes in the Lion King Jumgle, which actually has no apes in any of the Lion King Movies.
I'm not asking you to apologize for our chief criminal and felon.
The YMCA Corporation should publicly Condem Trump's Racist post & his response not to admit it was wrong in the first place. There was no erroneous employee who posted that video, all of America, & the world knows that this Racist Criminal President, knew exactly what was in the video before he posted. Might I remind you, this is Black History Month. This is the epitimy of the just saying, " The N - Word " I Emplore you to please make a statement of condeming this horrible episode of this crooked & racist regeme.
I appreciate your attention to this important opportunity, to simply say to all of your members around The USA, & The World.
THANK YOU !
Sincerely;
Fateful Member.
I don't take advantage of the programming but I really enjoy the weightroom and the friendliness of the staff.
The variety, support and fun!
It has been great to be part of this place! Super thankful!
You have great instructors; ie all of your BP instructors are wonderful and Ginny for yoga is outstanding. Great staff friendly
I love Ashlee’s workout class on Tuesdays! She’s the best! Also, I love the pool, but wish there were more lanes to swim in. The swim classes take up majority of the lanes….
The well-maintained pool, variety of classes, and the high quality instructors
Wide variety of group exercise classes.
STaff and classes
The facility is clean, there are many ways to exercise and I really like that they have a pool and hot tub and showers. I know there are many classes I could take but I do not go to them. I primarily use the upright bike, eliptical, rowing machine, leg press and stretching area. I like that the Y is open to everyone and promotes tolerance and understanding.
My only complaints are that
1) there is usually only one of the two upright bikes available as one is usually out of service. I have asked several times for them to add one more upright bike and get rid of one of the recumbent bikes or one of the racing bikes as they are never all occupied. (There are 5 recumbent and I think 4 racing bikes. There is a whole room of racing bikes and I see individuals in that room using the bikes so they could get rid of one of the racing bikes in the main area and substitute an upright.)
2) the stretching area used to have nice, thick pads to stretch on and they were big enough to have two to a pad and there were three pads. They have now put in some skinny pads that are not comfortable and that are hard to clean off.
I'm new to the Masters Swim Team and love it. However, there are two issues. One is that the billing seems overly complex. I, order to swim with the team on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, I have to sign up for four classes for a total of $105 even though I'm not in town on Mondays. Seems like there should be a per class option ($25) or a per month option ($100) that allows attendance at any Masters session. Also, in the short few weeks I've been on the team, the life guards have not shown up twice preventing us from swimming.
So far, I am using it as a space to do my PT. Not involved in any activities.
I like the bicycle machines.
Opportunity for my son and his recreational therapist to have their aqua therapy sessions at the YMCA for a reasonable cost. They also work out and take advantage of the sauna, etc.

I love having water classes at the gym. I feel a great sense of community to my fellow water mermaids. Q is the best and deserves a raise for putting up with our shenanigans!
