Everything is of the highest quality
Very helpful staff that want to educate you in fitness. Great space to work out as there is loads of room to do your own personal workout or use the large variety of machinery available.
Really friendly staff and great facilities!
Excellent range of classes
Fantastic facilities, great atmosphere & choice of classes. Incredible staff members make the gym a place I want to be involved with.
It's always clean. And the facilities are top quality. The staff is always kind and it's one of the only gyms i feel comfortable in
Gym is not crowded, plenty of equipment and classes and friendly staff
Excellent trainers with great knowledge! It's clear that they know what they're doing. They have fantastic motivation techniques, the classes' levels are adapted to both beginners and more advanced clients, they're tough but at the same time entertaining.
Gym Equipments
So many classes, great fun trainers and staff, tonnes of equipment. There’s just a lovely atmosphere and spirit here. It’s like a family!
1escape is a great gym and I do recommend it on a regular basis to friends and colleagues. Below is a list of areas that are working well and some areas that might need slight improvement.
Positives:
1. Tuesday and Friday morning Kettlex is fantastic. Dave does a great job on how he plans for these classes and the different focus on both days i.e. strength on Tuesday and core and balance on Friday. They are the stand out classes in the gym and I’ve really felt the benefits since I started doing them 2/3 months ago.
2. Staff are generally very friendly and approachable. It’s always easier to make that trip to the gym when you are greeted by a friendly face.
3. Wellness checks are good. I aim to get one done every quarter and it’s a really good way of tracking progress.
4. The booking system through the app works well, maybe some slights tweeks that could be made e.g. when booking two classes on the same day it could all be done on one visit to that day view page but that’s pretty cosmetic and in general it works well.
Some areas to consider:
1. I would love to be able to sign in at reception with my phone or smart watch. I’m really bad for throwing my fob at the end of my bag and searching for it at reception, or sometimes completely forgetting my fob. On occasions when I forget my fob it has also marked me as not having attended classes so I have had to subsequently call up to get this reversed. Having the barcode on the phone would be fantastic.
2. More kettlebells would be good. There is limited 20kg and 24kg kettlebells and I find they are the first to go before classes. It would also be nice to have more kettlebells at 18, 20 and 22kg as at the moment I think it’s only 16, 20 and 24kg for the upper end ones.
3. Probably something that’s not achievable, but temperature controlled showers in the changing rooms would be lovely.
If you’ve any questions on the above please let me know. I’m happy to discuss further. Overall, I am very happy with my experience in 1escape hence the rating of 9. Thanks for the opportunity to be able to provide feedback.
Gym is spacious, changing facilities are 10/10
The staff is super friendly and the place has good equipment. Also, I like the fact that is always clean.
Complete amenities and good classes
Best pool and sauna in Dublin
I do like The gym overall, But for The price I expect to see it more clean, especially in the pool and steam and sauna.
The showers needs
To be more clean and the dryer for gym clothes is never there.
I have also seen the sauna out of order a couple of times, I do not know if it's me who is unlucky, but it all happens too much.
I hope as well a class like spinning can start around 6-615am moving forward
Excellent gym.
The classes are good, I like the new ones in the swimming pool.
I like the facilities and how friendly and helpful the trainers are. I am also enjoying my PT sessions with Dave.
In relation to the classes, I am finding them too crowded if you don’t know the technique. If you don’t know the technique, I find it very difficult to get the most out of the class. With so many members in the class it is very difficult for the trainer to correct everyone’s technique and it is very difficult for members to learn the technique.
I would like to suggest classes with fewer members so that the trainer could concentrate on everyone’s technique or specific classes for beginners with very few members where the trainer can just concentrate in a couple of exercises each time in order for the members to learn the technique and be able to get the most out of the classes.
Great pool
Everything
Many machines, enough equipment for everyone, plenty of classes through out the day.
Great gym, knowledgeable staff, friendly welcome, good equipment
Good selection of classes (although it is a shame that the Tuesday Body Flow class got moved to an earlier start time :( )
The Zumba classes are great! Lana and Sam have a different approach but they are fun, have great music and great cardio.
Wet area and fitness classes
The pool area
The variety of the classes is always a winner for me. The recent staff change means I can’t really rate the staff yet except Dave & Mairead & Kimmy (Hakima?) who go above and beynd to make the class fun but tough. There’s no point going to a class if the instructor isn’t going to push me to my limit... These 3 consistently ensure the class runs on time with minimum breaks / disruptions in the class. Adi often takes too long a break between sets (45 seconds) or changing songs so I prefer to opt out of these classes.
The longer opening times are also great... although I think the morning timetable could start a little later in Winter please !
Very good infrastructure. Classes and staff are great. And not overcrowded, which makes it a nice area for sport and relax.

Variety, frendliness and locstion and that its not open to everyone so exclusivity
