I like the part where I get to talk about how much I appreciate the instructors at the Strongsville School Of Rock, in particular, Josh Sparks. He introduced me to drums. He made things very simple and easy to follow. Josh was clear, concise and effective in delivering the information and techniques also it was something I always looked forward to. I have a new love and respect for drums because of Josh Sparks.
The whole program of offerings is great, as are the teachers. One drawback is that the cost is much higher (double the cost) than private lessons with an individual teacher outside of SOR.
I enjoy the commitment to my daughter’s growth in performance art... vocals, guitar, and group. The team is focused and fun!
The instructors are very patient and let the kids choose songs and music styles they enjoy. The facility is nice and the kids are friendly with each other.
Very nice instructors with compassion for music. Scheduling private lessons can be hard to establish. But everyone is very helpful.
It's given my daughter a good start in appreciating, practicing, and performing music. She's always been interested in music, but I knew that she wouldn't apply herself if she was learning an instrument in the traditional way - she plays keys/piano, but if she had to play "Mary had a little lamb" and "Twinkle Twinkle" she flat-out would not participate. The music is more interesting in this program, and she's able to be more successful in playing entire songs. She also LOVES performing and looks forward to being on stage.
The teachers. My daughter loves her keyboard teacher so much. Very positive and encouraging. I love the concept in general.

Very organized. Even in these crazy times you do everything you can to make the lessons as consistent and normal as you can. Also, the teachers are very caring.
My child has never been this engaged with an outside class/camp, and the virtual programs are working tremendously for us. The team does a really nice job of tailoring the training to the students interests, and working at their unique pace.
At School of Rock in Westlake, Ohio my child is treated with respect. He is seen as capable of learning and growing. This has given him confidence and helped him realize that he can learn to make really nice music by being a good student and practicing.. He sees his teachers as mentors and kind role models. He is having fun and learning a lot.
Louis and the staff are great. Great programming and experiences for the kids.
The instructors
The programs allow the students to learn an instrument in a super fun and personalized way. Our daughter truly enjoys working with her instructors, Griffin and Elise, who are wonderfully patient and knowledgeable. They do a great job of adapting lessons and practices to meet each student's skill level and needs.
It’s more than lessons - even being relatively new we feel like we are part of a little family.

There are many qualities that we like about the Strongsville SOR. The ones that stand out the most are that they encourage my daughter to be creative, to be her authentic self, to persevere, and to be confident all the while making new friends and having fun. They use a variety of techniques as well.

The instructors are really caring and talented. We appreciate their follow up instruction with detailed emails . And We love Louie! He Keeps everyone organized and works with your schedule changes when necessary. The shows are amazing! Worth every penny .
It gives kids that are passionate about music, the opportunity to connect and play music with kids sharing common interests. There are not as many opportunities for young musicians as there are for young athletes.
I appreciate that School of Rock is available for students to play outside of the confines of traditional school, where they might feel they are in the minority because they aren't interested in sports.
