The program is so much more than lessons. The interactivity with your peers is awesome.
Outstanding teachers, very patient and easy to work with.
It’s a safe place. No bullying, all kids are mostly kind. With maybe 1 exception out of at least a dozen, our son has been given amazing opportunities to grow and become more skilled every single band.
Very friendly , in tune with the kids. My daughter just started with School of Rock in June and she loves it she's learning a whole lot.
We like:
-SOR was a welcome alternative to school music programs our kids weren't interested in pursuing. They weren't going to be involved in music any longer after trying another Westlake music lessons option they didn't vibe with. Then we thought of SOR and have been so happy since.
-Never have I ever heard either of the kids say they didn't want to go to SOR. That in itself says something you can't fake.
-Great music, constantly changing options.
-I think the email recaps are valuable to know where to grow. In a friendly way there is a sense of leadership/teamwork exhibited and half the battle of growing is knowing what you need to do better next time.
-Everyone wins as opposed to the sports the kids are in. Someone has to win and someone has to lose. At SOR we all cheer for all the kids (and teachers).
-The boot camps are a great way to change up the summer sports or malaise for young teens.
-I believe the SOR programs are character building; the teamwork, patience and courage to stand up and perform will be lasting elements for the kids to take with them into their futures.
-We like the safety and perseverance we saw during C-19. The programs/shows gave us all something to look forward to during shutdowns and uncertain times. Even with remote classes, the sense of community and learning carried on; the "show went on" outside!

I like that my daughter is exposed to a variety of music genres and the personal attention she receives. She also loves getting together with her “show mates” each week. She is always excited to go both her lessons every week.

I love that my daughter is so happy. She loves her keyboard teacher.y daughter has told many People that School Of Rock changed her life. She went from a shy girl playing piano to a young lady who performs and avidly plays all sorts of instruments on her own and sings.
Great teachers with experience and patience. Might need newer instruments throughout though.
The high level of positivity! The teachers are consistent and our daughter loves going to her lessons each week. She bounces with joy when she’s done with her lessons, and has really improved. We would highly recommend School of Rock to our friends!
Our son is thriving at School of Rock! Russ and Scott are both excellent teachers. They have so much patience with the kids and they truly love what they do. We are very pleased with our sons experience at School of Rock!
All staff are 100% dedicated to the success and well-being of the students. I've never seen anything like it. Two new students this year are the result of our recommendation, so I HAD to give a 10 because I definitely recommend SoR to people all the time. I tell them that it's not cheap, but the money is completely worth it. If your kid takes budget piano lessons, but hates it and never practices you are just throwing your money away. But with SoR my kid practices because she LIKES the music and it feels accessible to her. Can't say enough good things.
It’s so fun! I have met so many nice people who share love of playing music. Our director is awesome – – Pat K. He really makes it fun and helps everyone learn the music. Just a great program😀 I plan to stay as long as I’m healthy.

The staff is great, and just do incredible things to pull the most out of the kids. I'm always amazed at the quality of the music at the shows, regardless of children's age.
We love it all, basically! Our son has connected with several of the instructors and is making progress on his instrument. We especially love Hayley and Josh - our son really looks up to both of them. We also love how legitimate everything feels. The sense of authenticity makes the whole family feel like he is truly in a rock band ;)

Amazing school and amazing staff of skilled musicians/teachers!!!!
From the start, we have liked how the bands have brought out something in Ethan that he didn't think he had - the confidence to perform and sing in front of a huge group at an actual music venue. He has grown over the six years that we've been at SoR, and watching him learn more, get better, and feel more confident in his ability. In the most recent set of shows, he played Guitar 1 on a good amount of songs, and he had always said he would "never" play Guitar 1 because there are solos. Well - he did it, he had solos, and he rocked it!
Special shout-out to Tallulah, who has been absolutely incredible. She is always friendly, always responds to emails quickly, and manages a million things without breaking a sweat.
Also, Matt has been fantastic. Ethan loves working with him!
Everything! The staff is awesome, the instructors are great and the shows are always entertaining.
I love the teachers and how they really care about your child and ask how they are. They become their friends. Also, everyone is very friendly and it’s a place my child can feel like she can be herself w no judgement.
