The room is a bit large and hard to hear instructions

I like and enjoy the sense of community and the quality of instructors. Semperviva is like family to me and I intend to come more often.

How engaged the teachers are
Cleaner & has tea service , the city studio is very dusty
No showers. But I doubt that is something you will do. Otherwise only caters to local folk.
I love the tea in the gift area that you can sip while browsing the clothes and jewelry. I also find the staff very friendly and informative.

I think all of the instructors could spend more time helping people with form. There are many times when a little touch could help me feel the posture better or help me understand what the posture is trying to achieve.

When we comment that a particular teacher is good or a great sub, I wonder if this info gets passed along to the people who slot in subs and give teachers more classes. And when we say someone is not so good. It seems like no one is listening.
Of course, we are not all going to agree, but if someone bothers to make a comment, it would be nice to think it is acted upon.
I like the size of the yoga space and that there is more than one bathroom stall. The ataff are all pleasant and helpful
Although I like the studio - some suggesting for improvement - shoes removed prior to the change room area. That floor is always dirty because of shoes & what travels in on them. In a yoga studio I expect a clean bare foot zone from the change room on in. I can't imagine what a mess this must be in the winter months with all the rain & boots, etc. Even in the city studio students still bring their shoes into the change area. You need to educate your students on stuff like this & other things like cell phone use. I think the yoga studio should be a cell phone free zone. It's all about education. Most people will comply if you simply ask.
As for the teachers, I will say I think some of them are really fantastic & the level of teaching overall is quite good. I did attend a yoga class on Father's Day that was less than ideal. The teacher went on a rant about what he called 'daddy issues'. He proceeded to tell us that we all had these issues & we should just accept it. In the end I left class thinking he was the one with daddy issues & I what I really needed was to avoid his class in the future.
Teaching yoga is not easy, I understand that. It is also not a platform for personal therapy, politics or some misguided desire to lead amateur TED talks to an unknowing, yet captive audience. I have attended a couple of classes that walked a little too far into this realm, including the daddy issue day.
Trust the practice, guide students through safely with respect. No TED talk or zen master wanabes required.
