I personally do not like to chant, for a several reasons. I don't appreciate going into a class and having a teacher try to force me to chant along because they say it feels good. It's my practice and chanting is not part of it. The worst part was when the teacher decided to draw attention and comment on the people not chanting as if to shame them into chanting along. I didn't realize this was a requirement to go to a class. I will likely avoid Misha's class from now on.
location, instructors
Very friendly studio ! I'm hooked
The wonderful windows, the possibility to use the raised level or the main area, great props, wonderful staff, and amazing teachers!
The teachers and classes and a generally relaxed atmosphere.
There isn't much I can think of, yet. The rating of 8 is purely because I am hesitant to judge based on a single visit and having only practiced with this one instructor.
Gorgeous space, warm and welcoming staff.
Friendly staff, great instructor
Only Hatha classes from 7-8 am-I would love to have more diversity
Some classes are not challenging at all
The kits studio is too big and the atmosphere hence not so relaxing
In general are the classes too crowded
Welcoming studio! The staff were wonderful and helpful.
Large room, lots of mats. Easy sign-in process.
The space, the friendly staff.
Professional, friendly and energetic instructors.
Lots of classes and times to choose from. Like the four location options.
Add hot yoga
Friendly and professional
Very friendly and accommodating
There's no change room! Aside from a tiny closet. Way too crowded when one arrives and the previous class is coming out... feels like there is zero respect for your customers
Staffs are friendly and kind. Location is nice and good.
I love that you have some fabulous teachers. For example, today, Sunday Feb 26th 9:30 Kundalini class led by Danny Chow was a complete mind, body, spirit experience. Danny's warmth, passion and authenticity is obvious because he shares little anecdotes from his life learnings. My health must be misaligned from the inside as I've noticed some skin issues the last few days. It seemed like today's "shake up the intestines" exercise might help my overall health. It's so great to do movements that we don't normally do in our every day lives. My wish is to see Danny's name in the Kundalini spots more often. Thanks for your interest.
I like the classes and teachers. I wish there were more classes later on weekday evenings.
Great instructors. Casual atmosphere.
i like the view and doing yoga with the ability to have fresh air coming in with the open windows. I also appreciate that there is free parking available - actually that is a huge factor for why i go to that studio. The one thing I would suggest is to be able to take and place the props back in 2 places. There could be a space in the corner on the main floor area for at least a few blocks or foam bricks. It gets very chaotic/busy/pushy when class ends and everyone is going to the one and only bookshelf to return everything.
It was a little crowded. Other than that it was wonderful!
Great instructors!
the variety and lots of class/locations
The people at the front counter are warm and inviting, genuine and non judgmental. My class with Gloria was inspiring. I am just getting into yoga and everyone at semperviva made me feel welcome.
All goodness!
Things are ok
The rooms smell like sweat everything I enter the room. I do not like the mic it is hard to hear what the yoga teacher is saying.
