The most recent massage appointment that I had was awful. The therapist was late, proceeded to tell me that I wouldn't get my full 50 minutes (which I didn't though halfway through the appointment she tried to reassure me she had mispoken earlier). When I got on the table, it was 10:15, she completed the massage and left the room for me to change by 11:00am on the dot. The therapist's "methods" were also questionable. She frequently missed muscle groups on my back and ended up rubbing hard (as this was supposed to be a deep tissue massage) on bones in my back and I had to correct her. She didn't really massage any of the specific areas I requested either. It honestly felt like this was some random person who had walked in off the street and did the massage, not a trained therapist, which made me more uncomfortable. I feel absolutely robbed of my time and money from this experience and despite the kindness of the receptionists after the appointment, highly doubt I will return because I no longer feel that I can trust that the therapists hired by LaVida will be experienced and reliable therapists.

I almost always have a great experience with Lavida! I've only been disappointed twice, and only one of those experiences was "bad", but for the number of different therapists I've seen over the course of multiple locations, I would say it's a pretty consistently great experience.
The days and hours you are open make it very convenient for people who are working full time. Your prices are a little high if you don't purchase the membership. Especially since a 60 minute massage is not a full 60 minutes. The first time I went to La Vida, I did receive a wonderful full 60 minute massage (I guess I just got lucky). The next time I went, I was even thinking about looking into getting the membership - I need to start going regularly. Well, I went again and I received a 45 minute massage. When I sent an email to inquire about being shorted on the time, I was advised that you allow 10 minutes of non-massage time and the actual massage is 50 minutes. Not a very good deal for $69, I don't expect to return based on my last experience.
I ended up finding a chiropractor office nearby who offers a 60 minute massage for $45. I have gone there twice and plan to go there regularly instead.

It is correct that our 60 minute massage session includes 5 minutes before and after the 50 minute hands-on portion to include time for consultation and dressing. We strive to offer services at a comparable rate to similar services in the area - our Benefits Program offers discounts for clients who like to receive massage on a monthly basis, making regular visits more affordable than ever at a savings of over 25% off regular rates.

When booking new client massages we do inform them of our session process, although it is booked as a 60 minute session the hands-on treatment is only 50 minutes. There is 5 minutes in the beginning of the session for consultation with the therapist and for client to disrobe, 50 minutes hands-on treatment session when the therapist re-enters the room and 5 minutes at the end of the session for the client to redress, hydrate and recommendations from therapist.
From the time we set foot in the building, the service was outstanding. The facility is nice. The massages were incredible.

There seems to be a lot of turnover with the therapists. It can be difficult to find the same therapist on a consistant basis.

I had my very first prenatal massage last week and it was amazing! At 31 weeks I've been having issues with low back pain and sciatica. I left there feeling great! Highly recommend!!

The service was great. Lovely atmosphere but if I didn't have a $50 gift card I couldn't afford to get a massage from you. I mean $69.00 really is too much.
