I really enjoyed my massage for my bachelorette party. They upgraded my massage with hot stones and aromatherapy for free and it was wonderful! I’d go back again.
The music needs improvement. Not really soothing. Too new age. The rooms are cold.
Thank you for taking the time to review your experience. We appreciate all feedback as it gives us the client's perspective. Our music is played through a satellite radio program and we unfortunately cannot control the songs, though it plays a variety of music. From classical jazz, nature sounds, Native American instruments to Enya, there is quite a variety. The station is random to avoid the same songs being played at the same time of day as most clients tend to come around the same days/times based on the therapist they enjoy and their own schedules.
Our rooms are equipped with table warmers, as your body heat does lower during a massage due to the state of relaxation. In the event you do become cold, do not hesitate to inform the therapist. They can always turn the heat up for you or even grab another blanket if need be. We want our clients to feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible.

My appointment started 15 minutes late and ended 10 minutes early .... I paid for an hour massage and clearly did not get the entire time.

Every thing
The first time I visited, my massage and facial were nothing short of amazing (I have a rave review for you on Yelp). This time, however, was underwhelming. I booked a 90 minute massage for stress relief. My therapist yesterday (Aurelia/Oralia) spent a solid hour of that time either stretching me the way my trainer does (and asking me to hold the sheets or press against her) or pounding/tapping on my body with the sheet over me. There was *possibly* 30 minutes of a half-hearted massage with oils there. I am definitely looser than I was yesterday, but it wasn’t relaxing in any way, shape or form. I don’t want to work during my massage. Prior to the massage, I did sign up for the monthly plan, so I will try it out with different therapists for a couple of months, and avoid booking with her before I pass any judgments.
Mary was excellent! The right amount of pressure, and she’s very strong. I also liked that she “checked in” with me during the massage, but otherwise was very quiet and not talkative, which is exactly what you want in a massage... quiet and calm. She took really good care of me!
Speaking of quiet, though, the spa music was a little too loud and “modern” - I could tell some of the songs were pop songs (slow ones of course) with the lyrics removed and different instruments.. essentially instrumental ballads. I would just recommend true spa music... I found myself trying to figure out what songs they were because they were familiar.
I like that there are a variety of services. I've gotten several massages, facials, eyebrow wax.

The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. I only say nine because one time I was asked to come in early for an appointment and was seen 20 minutes late. But even then the staff was courteous and apologized as it had been a misunderstanding. Love the services here. They truly are professional and extremely good at what they do. I get the signature facial or the Swedish massage. Both are awesome when I just need to relax and rejuvenate. Plus the benefits plan is awesome! $59 a month for a 60 minute session and any additional services that month are at a super discounted price. Can't ask for better than that in NYC. You get what you pay for, and in this case that means a very well trained staff and a full hour of total relaxation.
Charged for a visit that i was not able to make because i was ill with kidney stone pains.
Painful extratractions. Hardly any neck or arm massage. The facials that I had previously were more enjoyable. She told me to relax for two minutes and then get dressed. I got up immediately and got dressed. She knocked on the door and waited for me to rush and exit. It was 5:50 at that time. The overall experience was not relaxing.

Really great massage! but pretty expensive. Also, I'd rather you not guilt me into paying a $20 tip on top of the $85 massage. That's steep for an hour of service; more than a 40% tip. Absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. If that's all the massage therapists make, maybe pay them more? I'll recommend the massage to people, but I'll definitely warn about the tipping as well.
