They listen. Believe it or note but management is watching and have shown me empathy. This theatre cares. Not all theatres much less general managers go out of their way ensuring the best movie theatre experience for their customers. I’ve had the pleasure of communicating with the general manager and I’ve never had that happen to me from other theatre houses or chains. Not even Santikos Palladium. So yes, I’ll be returning to The Mayan theatre more often. It’s safe, friendly and modern.

The Mayan is a gem! The theater is physically aesthetic, clean, and roomy. The people are down home "family" type. The kids/young adults are all respectful and very mannerly. Their parents are the same. The employees are great! They treat the adults like they are their own "tia's" or "abuelitas." Very kind, polite and personable and you can tell that they are taught to "respect their elders." It is a far cry from the other theaters where the kids are ridiculous, the young adults and their parents are rude and seem ready to fight when someone has the audacity to kindly complain about them having full-blown cell phone conversations during the movie!. The employees are typical teens with no real connection to adults and therefore do not have that same care that these kids at the Mayan have towards their elders. Sounds crazy, but this upscale/fashionable movie theater is , predominately Hispanic, and the cultural "extended family" experience comes across in a very genuine and pleasant way.
