Member Testimonials
I have been attending the Y now four years. I find that it is clean and well kept. There is never any trouble. Keep up the good work.
My daughter loves her swim lessons, the instructors are fantastic! We will definitely continue to enroll her at this branch despite it not being the closest.
Curtis's classes for the seniors.
Love the Weights for Women class. Cait is an awesome teacher!
I love all the equipment you get to use and the pools to relax in after a workout!
Curtis is awesome!!
Staff is friendly and helpful.
Would like the bathrooms to be cleaned as well as space where Barb and Curtis have class.
Floor and mirrors need to be cleaned.
Otherwise I enjoy working out at the Y.
Thank you
Friendship, caring people at the Glenwood .
Pickleball facility & available time to play is important- do not mix that in with Open Gym. Sharing the Gilmore gym with both basketball & pickleball doesn’t work well & everyone has commented about that to each other.
Also, what happened to the staff assistant assigned to weight training areas? I had questions on what machines to use to target area muscles & never anyone around to offer advice.
Christian ministry outreach is a nice pgm. Small chapel is a welcome room to reflect, pray, etc.
Good classes for seniots
I like the different classes that you can attend and the reiki on Friday nights and the pool also gets you moving
Playing pickleball
Playing pickleball with very nice people.
It's a good facility, has many offerings.
YMCA is place where you can exercise in an environment where I feel comfortable.
The various options swimming, gymnasium, classes equipment and nice people
I use the upstairs gym and the people who work out there are polite and respectful of one another. Most people clean the equipment after they use it.
Love Calvin's class
Its feeling of community.
The exercise and fellowship
Great classes, especially yoga, Pilates and Zumba. Great instructors and staff. Positive and safe environment. Learned how to play pickleball in the clinics. Many different days/times to play pickleball. Staff and members are good people and provide a pleasant social outlet. So grateful for the Glenwood Y.
I love the pool, the spa to help my sore muscles and the spacious locker rooms. The fitness area is phenomenal having all of the pieces of equipment that one needs to keep in physical shape. Thanks to the staff for keeping things clean having towels available and addressing needs when things aren’t working right. Thanks for all you do.
Love it
Currently go to the Edinboro Y and I love it. It fits my needs perfectly. People are friendly and kept very clean. I use the gym equipment at least 4 times a week. Always greeted with a smile and friendly hello.
I have been attending YMCA 4 days a week for the past few years. The 5th day I often swim in the pool or exercise on machines.
But best are Curtis’s Senior fitness classes I attend and the Tai Chi class he teaches once a week.
These classes are designed to work different muscle groups and condition seniors to improve balance, strength, and muscle tone. Some stretching and gentle aerobic exercises begin each class, followed by working different muscle groups each day, so that generally my fitness has vastly improved and my balance is better, and my strength and endurance has gradually increased.
Curtis is an excellent teacher and puts a great deal of thought and expertise into his classes. He makes it fun for all of us.
Senior class with Curtis. They should space classes out different times cause the parking is terrible because they have 3 classes at 11:00.
Steam room
The pool, it is spacious
Great, helpful staff. Good equipment and class offerings. (That said, I miss the hamstring and leg press machines in the upper fitness area. Please replace them, if possible!)
I love the small pool and the good friends.

Thechance to work out at my own pace. Also I like the family atmosphere.
