Enjoy the programs, the people who work there and the socializing.
Not crowded. Helpful trainers too.
I have been a member of the Y since I was a teenager. I am a retiree and have been able to take part in the numerous activities the Y has to offer.
I enjoy my time in the pool with Pat and the Arthritis Class. The exercises help me to stay flexible and the friendships are priceless.
Sabrina is an outstanding instructor
Lots of classes to choose from, 2 pools which is wonderful, and everyone is friendly. Also like that there are different kinds of weights & machines to choose from. As an older person, I appreciate that there are people of all shapes and sizes and ages
The facilities are always clean, the staff is always friendly, and the prices are so low compared to community gym memberships. I love the good work they do for the community and I’ve seen many a meal being handed out to a person with no home.
I likethe classes the Y offers

Love working out at the Way!
The excellent teachers, especially Amy, and Ron. The staff are friendly and patient with all questions. The facility is clean and I like that it isn’t modern.
The gym is clean and the equipment is new. I like that there’s very few people there when I go during the work day. It makes for a peaceful and fluid workout without waiting to use the equipment.
The variety of classes offered and quality of teachers.

Love the club and included classes. Can you put boxes of tissue out so we don’t have to go grab toilet paper?

Everything
My Trainer is Sal. He is very experienced, personable and knowledgeable about fitness. He should be a perfect fit for anyone. He listens to his clients and easily customizes workouts. He is an asset to Capital Y. I am grateful to learn from him.
Nice, comfortable facility. Great group of people who work out during the same hours I do.
My daughter, who is also a member, Carmen Barney, kept wanting me to go the sauna at Capital Y. I kept saying maybe. She finally got me there last night. Talk about therapeutic!!!! I’m going to try to make it a 1 day a week. Wonderful experience. Thank you Y😍
Give water exercise instructors blue tooth mics and speakers so participants can hear their instructions when the instructor is giving instructions from side of pool.
Very inclusive with good class selection for seniors. Instructors are friendly and approachable and genuinely interested in my ability to improve health. The tone in classes is encouraging without instructors barking or yelling at clients. It’s fun to participate! Other people in classes are friendly too.
The weight rooms are stocked with a wide range of heavy-duty free weights and modern, well-maintained machines that cater to every type of workout. Beyond the equipment, the facility stands out for its commitment to hygiene, with locker rooms that are consistently clean and comfortable. It is a welcoming, professional environment that makes it easy to stay motivated and focused on your fitness goals.
My Pilates and TRX instructor Heather McIntyre has inspired me to work hard toward a healthy life style. She motivates people in her classes to exercise, explains how we can improve our health beyond the gym visits, and through her delightful personality keeps us interested in continuing attending Pilates and other forms of classes the Rollingwood YMCA provides.
