What do you like about our programs?

In the Honolulu sports community, certain individuals stand out for their unwavering dedication, infectious enthusiasm, and profound impact on our youth. One such remarkable leader is Brandon Mitsunaga, the Assistant Program Director of our Youth Basketball League. Brandon embodies the spirit of mentorship, sportsmanship, and community that lies at the heart of i9 Sports here in Hawaii.

Leadership and Mentorship: Brandon's leadership style is both inspiring and transformative. He possesses a unique ability to connect with our young athletes on a personal level, guiding them not only in developing their basketball skills but also in cultivating values such as teamwork, integrity, and perseverance. His approach to mentorship is empowering, enabling every child to feel valued, confident, and motivated to achieve their best.

Community Impact: Beyond the court, Brandon's influence extends throughout the community. He is a figure of positive energy and support, often seen engaging with families, encouraging parental involvement, and fostering a welcoming environment for all. His commitment to creating meaningful experiences for our youth extends beyond the basketball court. Last Christmas, one of the memories we talked about was Brandon being overrun by young athletes (like a celebrity). The youngsters wanted to share their personal achievements and Christmas experiences with Coach Brandon, while he was attending a random Christmas event at Honolulu Hale.

Role Model: Perhaps most importantly, Brandon serves as an exemplary role model for the children and families involved in i9 Sports. His actions and demeanor consistently reflect the values we hold dear, inspiring both young athletes and their parents to strive for excellence in all aspects of life. Whether he's leading by example on the basketball court, offering words of encouragement, or simply sharing a smile, Brandon's positive influence is unmistakable.

Brandon's contributions to the i9 Sports Youth Basketball League and our community at large are a testament to the profound difference one person can make. His dedication, kindness, and leadership exemplify the best of what i9 Sports stands for. As we move forward, we are grateful for Brandon's continued influence and are excited to see how his efforts will further inspire and shape the future of our young athletes.

What do you like about our programs?

We have enjoyed basketball very much. My grandson has learned so much from each week of play. We like the fact that all team members get equal time during the games to play. We also like that coaches and referees stop to explain concepts to the players during the games.

What do you like about our programs?

Would love it if coaches were a bit more experienced. I had my child in another soccer program, same prices, better training. Otherwise my kid really enjoyed himself, that’s what’s most important so thanks.

The coaches were amazing and made sure my 8yr old is enjoying his time on the court while also picking up basic volleyball techniques which are complex to explain and demonstrate to an 8 year old!
