Last week, I had submitted a review of Downeast Energy's products and services. I gave a mediocre rating of "6", due to getting charged an annual penalty of $180 for not using at least 330 gallons of propane in a year, and getting charged with what I thought were uncompetitive prices. Early this week, I received a call from a customer service representative who apologized for charging the low usage penalty, and advised me that it would be removed. I explained that I am a truck driver, and not home during the week, as well as being the only person in the household to explain the limited usage. She also granted me $0.10 off per gallon from the price I was going to pay. Assuming these changes will be processed, I was "wowed", (astonished), over the gesture to reach out to me as a customer and make my life easier. Efforts such these are a strong encouragement to stay with Downeast Energy as a customer.
