There has been a lot of negativity lately about Downeast Energy but I have been a customer for years and never had any problems with them. We have auto delivery and they always show up with fills way before running out. Also have a service contract with them and service has been great.

I have had excellent service with the Service Dept and Customer Service. I called into Customer Service today 2/26/26 and I did not have a long wait time. I spoke to Carlene and she was polite and listen to my needs and took care of the questions I had. I would recommend Downeast Energy to anyone. Tomorrow I get the Furnace cleaned & tuned up with the service contract I bought. I have already used the plan it on a part that needed to replaced.
I like automatic fill. I never have to worry about running out of oil or propane, especially this winter. Also, I am thankful for yearly maintenance service on my furnace.
Service personnel with whom I have contact thru the years have all been outstanding ..from the staff taking telephonic orders, those who provide deliveries and oversee inspection and/or maintenance functions...all deserve my bow.
We were pleasantly surprised when our #2 fuel was delivered the next day. When I ordered on Monday, I was told there was a 14 day out delivery. Unless the truck was in our area already. Thanks so much for the speedy delivery as we know it's not always the case. I really miss the office and the personnel there. Computer's raise my blood pressure, so I tried to limit the use.

My request for help when I returned after a short stay out of state and found the house temperature at 33 degrees (!) got a quick response from a service man. And when the cure was temporary, service continued until the furnace problem was resolved. Now the furnace has been working as it should. It is a relief to know that if there is a recurring problem, a request for aid will be handled quickly.

seem to always be pleasant on the phone and do all they can to solve
an issue. when the propane truck got stuck trying to drive on the lawn,
they returned in a few days and fixed the lawn. all in all just satisfaction
in doing business.

We've been supplied by DE energy for 35+ years for oil and propane and have never had to call for fuel and have never run out.
Only negative aspect is the time it takes to talk to an agent. I became a member Nov 2019 and response was always great but not lately. Great technicians and representatives. Thank you!

What I appreciate is your responsiveness. Even though there are umpteen calls for service on stormy days, when it’s hard to get a hold of a live person, when I actually DO, they are understanding and make things happen quickly. That’s gold. I also want to comment the truck drivers who have to drive through crazy weather conditions and wade through snow banks to fill our heating oil. I can’t express my gratitude enough. Thank you.
Pleased with the: service, VA and senior discounts. I would recommend that phoning in accessibility be improved. One has to wait a considerate amount of tie to talk to a human!
