I so appreciate the chair yoga classes (taught by Mikah and Mary), and the facility is always clean, the staff is friendly, and I always meet new people while walking on the track. It's a "great" place to help me achieve my goals.

Convince for my location friendly atmosphere
The YMCA is not just a gym and participation is not just a membership. It is a place where people can go to enhance their body, mind and soul and feel a sense of belonging. It is a place where people gather together as a YMCA family. It is a place where I: 1) exercise, 2) feed my soul by volunteering, 3) give to others who are in need, 4) create friendships, and 5) pray. When I first moved to Fort Wayne, I felt lost until the day I stepped into Parkview and David said, “You belong here.” He was so right because since joining the YMCA, I live an “over the moon" happy, healthy life. Thank you, Parkview YMCA management team and staff members. By giving the best of yourselves, you give us members an opportunity to be the best of ourselves.
My entire YMCA experience is fun and rewarding!! I generally go in the morning to the group exercise classes, but occasionally even in the evenings. The instructors are awesome; they give different options on how to do the exercises and they try to get to know each participant by name. Oh, I neglected to first say how nicely I am greeted each morning by the desk staff. They are often the first people I see each morning, and it's nice to be greeted with their smiling faces. The maintenance and cleaning crew keep the Y in tip top shape, too. The locker rooms are kept nice and clean. I have met and made many wonderful friends throughout the many years that I have been going to the Y. I often adjust my own personal schedule so I can be sure to make it to the Y several days each week. I even meet up outside of the Y with the friends I have met there. We know each others' families through the Y. I also enjoy volunteering through the Y. Basically, the Y is a big part of my life. It helps to keep me physically, emotionally, spiritually, and socially fit.
The staff is very friendly and greeted me when I scanned in. The lifeguards were very attentive and the aquatics director stopped to make sure I was having a good day!

Nice clean facility with great equipment and friendly staff . However, the area assigned for stretching is lacking and the old area was much better. The small stretching mats are way too thin especially for people who have back issues and they are very difficult to clean. The large mats that were once used were much easier to lie on and much easier to clean not to mention there was more room. It appears they were removed simply to make room for equipment. That was a mistake!
