It is very quiet... and comfortable
We love the childcare at the Y! My baby doesn't always settle down, and I trust them to not let him cry too long and let me know. I also know they are doing everything they can to love on him and play with him. He comes home smelling like their perfume! Which makes me know he is held and cuddled. Could not ask for a better experience! Thank you!!

I participate in silver sneakers - I like having the big gym space to spread out. the Central Y is also very hospitable to people of all races and cultures. The multicultural feel to it is very enriching.
I thoroughly enjoy my weekly water aerobics class. Kate Black is the best! I also enjoy playing Euchre afterwards. It makes for a wonderful morning.

Music swimming is very upbeat and acoustics in pool area is better here. Keeps me moving and enjoying the swim.
The Central Branch team is always welcoming and friendly, especially the Wednesday night swim instructors!
The upstairs locker rooms are for adults only. Meaning that there is no kids running through the locker rooms and beating up the lockers.
Also, the small private lockers for rent in the upstairs locker rooms. Very convenient to leave my padlock and bottle of shampoo in the small locker and not have to carry it around.
Towels supplied in the upstairs locker rooms, so I don't have to remember to bring a towel each time.

The Y has different people at different hours of the day - whatever the hour, if the individual is open, a community can be found there. I am a 5:00 p.m. person - I love Central and Skyline.
It's well established, has been there a long time. Closest to our home. And then, there's Kate Black. She's by far best water instructor for water aerobics!
Atmosphere feels more friendly than other area Ys. I really enjoyed my Pilates class tonight.
