All the thrive classes are amazing. The instructors are the best ever!! I love them al!!!!! .
However, the upstairs exercise room is way too hot. If you Google what the ideal exercise/workout temperature is, it is not in line with the temperature in the room.
Members can put jackets on and sweatshirts if hey are cool, but we can’t take our clothes off to cool off. The tint has helped a little bit however it’s just not enough. Average temperature, and I have taken pictures is in the 70s.

Unfortunately, it limits the classes I go to because of the heat in the crowd.
The instructors are the best, I would love to take more. Please please resolve the issue. Maybe a window air conditioning might be a better option.
When the TV’s were placed in there, we lost more fans, making the situation worse
Exercise classes is super for all ages my favorite YMCA branch is Taylor on Cary parkway the staff treats us like family so friendly and kind

The staff are attentive & helpful & I love the classes that inspire me to work harder than I might on my own. I’m not using the pool as much as I wish I could. I also want to make time to schedule a personal trainer to help me focus so there’s much I haven’t taken advantage of that working full time does limit my time for workouts.
What I DONT like is the closing at 9 instead of 10pm. Being able to go after dinner & stay til 10 was/is important to me & my family. I may have to rejoin planet fitness for eve workouts because 9 pm closure means the exercise stops at 8:30 & if I get there at 7:30 after dinner I have one hour to workout. That is NOT enough.

Variety of programs. Great staff
The YMCA has been great for me, as a parent. My children went to the affordable summer camps as children. Now, my daughter works at the afterschool program while in high school and my son goes there to exercise after school. My husband and I need to take better advantage of the program though. That will be a focus for this year. Thank you.

Enjoy coming and being greeted by all the friendly staff and patrons. Been coming for last 4 years only to play Volleyball. Great program! I have lots of FUN!
Taylor has the best weightlifting equipment.

Friendly people and a great place to workout. Like the walk/run track.
The instructors, especially Susan K, are knowledgeable and friendly. The only downside is that the group fitness studio is next to the gym and when the gym is busy, the noise can distract.
Love going to the YMCA - the staff is the best part! So welcoming and friendly! The locker rooms are another benefit for me, the lockers are easy to figure out and use without having to bring my own lock. The part I appreciate the most is that the women's locker room has additional machines and weights for those who are a little more nervous in the main weight room or want no distractions, or just don't want to have to compete for space with the other weight lifters.
I know it is planet fitness' motto, but the Taylor Family YMCA definitely feels like a judgement-free zone and I will keep recommending it to neighbors and friends.
