Member Testimonials
I like the variety of activities, the professionalism of the staff, and the expertise of the instructors.
Very friendly employees!
Our twin Granddaughters love Kid Zone!
All staff members are very friendly and polite.
Making friends with others in class, and withinstructors!
Staff personnel are friendly and eager to help especially the newcomers. It will be helpful to post a floor map showing where the exercise rooms, lockers, restrooms and water refill stations are. Instructors are competent and motivating!
Always clean, nice employees
It feels like a family place and I enjoy the classes more than anything else! The instructors who teach any class I take are absolutely amazing!
The comradery between the participants in zumba is amazing. I've made good friends beyond the class and these friendships are worth a fortune. Valerie is a wonderful instructor who brings us international rhythms and warmth.
Romaine is the best!
Facilities, though ladies room at the pool complex really needs an update. I like the instructors and the frequency of various programs, especially aquatics (water aerobics).
Fitness classes
Love the place! Such a great vibe. So friendly and unpretentious.
The facility was clean and the staff were very helpful
Events
Staff and members are nice and likeable.
Great family environment even though we no longer have children at home.
Assistance
I've only been a member for a couple of weeks but really enjoy it so far
Overall courteousness of the staff, wide variety of activities and equipment, nice pool
This was my first time at the Taylor YMCA for many years. It has changed a lot! I have both positive and negative impressions from the visit.
The positive ones: 1.) Parking is good. 2.) The facility is large and every square inch seems to be utilized. Lack of equipment is NOT a problem! 3,) Taylor still has a working Men's steam room -- this alone is a good reason to return!
The negative ones: 1.) The upper floor is chopped up; newer facilities like the Kraft Y are more open and have much more natural light. 2.) Even though the men's locker room is very spacious, the lockers themselves are not. My locker bag, which fits in every other full height locker I have used, was about an inch too long for these lockers, so I had to empty it out and put it above the locker. At least you have full height lockers instead of the totally useless half-height ones.
In the mixed category, the downstairs staff was friendly and engaging, but the upstairs staff mostly seemed to talk among themselves. I observed almost no engagement with between the upstairs staff and the patrons.
The pool
I love the pooI and the water fitness classes. All the instructors are excellent! I also like being able to bring my grandchildren to swim. The dome is terrific and makes it so nice to be able to come all year round.
I’ve attended a few other classes, yoga and Pilates and would like to do them more often. It can be a challenge to get a spot in those classes!
The instructors I’ve encountered there are also excellent!
I really love the Thrive classes. So far I have been pretty lucky to be able to sign for the classes I go to.
The Thrive classes and the instructors.
Consistency of staff they do a great job
I like the feeling of community…. The qualified instructors and staff, the friendliness of the front desk staff, the diversity of class offerings, and the mission.
What I don’t like is the app! It’s so clunky to use. :-(
Close to home
Plenty of workout equipment in good working order
Lots of classes
Friendly staff
Everything but especially the instructors at Taylor. I also go to morrisville aquatics center for fitness classes and Taylor's instructors are heads and tails better, especially Nan, Romaine, Donna and Stephanie.
Took off one star for the awful pool locker room. Gross and no privacy whatsoever
Also... whoever is in charge of keeping group fitness center clean needs to vacuum every nook and cranny. When we get down on the floor, there is
hair everywhere. Yuck.

Love the "Dance" class with Nance
