Member Testimonials
The steam room was great, but needed a stronger watt light bulb.
It has alot to offer, and great for families
I love most of things in NW Cary YMCA. The staff are very kind and attentive, and they really listen to members’ opinions. The members are also friendly and nice, and the classes and facilities seem to be well maintained.
If I could suggest one improvement, it feels like the conditioning and strength classes are concentrated at certain times. Also, as a pickleball lover, I wish the pickleball courts were a bit more developed.
The team coaches, staff and volunteers are all absolutely amazing. I’m also very appreciative of the teaching of values in addition to skills.
The people who work there seem genuinely happy and helpful. I love the classes I have taken .
Th coaches are good and the frequency and times of practice and games are good. The program also communicates well to parents.
Everything is great - classes, steam room, sauna. One thing I would like is to bring back the Les mills grit strength class. I loved that class and it’s not offered anymore. I looked forward to this class every week and was very sad to see it removed.
Open atmosphere and offers lots of different exercise options
Classes are great!
I loved being able to swim in the outdoor pool on a cool but beautiful day. I may have done a bit more backstroke than usual to take in the sky.
Team members are always friendly and helpful, customers are also friendly and there's a good vibe at the gym. I love that it is family and community oriented, and the facility itself is big, has lots of natural light, great, clean equipment and the locker room is also clean and beautiful.
I use this branch on occasion for classes to vary my routine from my home Y (Taylor). Recently had a cycle class with Leeza how did a great job leading. But I was surprised to find she had t lock the cycle studio upon leaving. This is unfortunate as a long distance cyclist I will use the spin room in off hours. The reason she gave is new equipment was in there. Seems silly to me limit the use of space to try something new.,
Also, as a senior member I would like to see more availability of Tai Chi classes.
We have attended several 'THRIVE' dinner and social gatherings organized by Lucas at YMCA. He is passionate, caring, professional, and energetic.
My experiences with others at Y has also been very pleasant. Thank you all!
My favorite part of the Y is the group fitness classes; so many great options with different types of classes. It's nice to be able to get a great workout while also making friends - especially partial to the Zumba and Cardio Dance classes. I am a little concerned with talented and popular instructors recently leaving to go to competitor gyms. I really hope the Y can work to retain its top instructors.
it’s great. price is right and lots of good classes and very friendly staffs.
Reasonable membership
The people!
Great staff and facility.
I really like the variety of gym equipment at this location.
Good equipment. I like the indoor track.
I love the programming and especially the instructors (Melissa!). That said, body pump would be an even better experience if we had the Les Mills Smart Bars.
Y has everything you could hope for in terms of activities.
Great staff, tons of classes, clean.
It was great experience and they added Hsa acct when interest after getting doctor letter
People behind the counter are great! Facility is clean and has a good flow/feel
Really lovely facility with friendly staff
Many fitness classes and open gyms.
Plenty of open workout space...Love Victoria in the Thrive class on Fridays - wish this was offered more often, I miss it frequently at the 8:30 time and would love a later time. Be great to have an infrared sauna - I love the one at Kraft.
Convenient location, nice lockers rooms

Bright and fresh, great energy, spacious, friendly staff, great instructors and classes.
