I just started my membership so I can only give first impressions
I went to an equipment orientation and found the instructor very knowledgeable and helpful.
I thought the equipment was superior to most other fitness facilities especially for someone my size (I am a petite size woman)
The instructor showed me every machine and helped me choose the proper settings for my size and wrote them down for me. She also answered questions and provided suggestions.
Although I have not tried any of the other amenities yet I am looking forward to utilizing them going forward.
Especially the walking track and indoor pool, and the sauna which are great features for inclement weather. There is also an outdoor pool for swimming in the summer, as well as group classes which covers just about everything you could ask for in a fitness center.
Something for every season, which encourages year round fitness.

My family loves the Y! With young kids, we use the pool and child watch weekly. I enjoy group classes the most!! Love all the yoga instructors and subs. Any class Cuqui is teaching is guaranteed to be fun and effective!!

There are classes and programs that cater to everyone regardless of age. I have been a member off and on since 2002.
I love the community. Everyone is welcome and equal. The facilities are very light and clean, and the new weight room is wonderful. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I like the fact that the facility including pool is kept clean. The gym equipment is updated and the staff are friendly with the exception of a couple of people. May I suggest that you get a sign in front of the women's sauna that prohibits street shoes inside the sauna? Every health club including other YMCAs have a sign because it's unhygienic to go in the sauna wearing running shoes or any other kind of shoes that you wear outside other than flip flops for the pool or no shoes at all! Just think of all the dirt and bacteria on the bench when they put their feet on there whether it be the 1st or 2nd level. Years ago this would never have happened. Plus some go in the sauna and talk on the phone or as one lady does, puts the phone on speaker right outside the sauna and talks for a long time. You can hear her and the speaker on the other end while you're trying to relax in the sauna. There should also be a no cell phone sign too, as most gyms have.
All the employees are extremely nice & helpful. I love that I can do my own water exercises. I heat the water aerobics class is good. I really like the individual bathrooms with showers. I need the space to feel comfortable & privacy.
