Great teachers, friendly staff, great community.
I’m loving my membership. I’ve enjoyed the recent member appreciation activities & food (parfaits, fruit and sweets) I was impressed members received a valentines card and parent nights out on Valentine’s Day. It was wonderful that parents night out was from 5:30-8pm and was free to members! I love that I can use multiple YMCAs in my area.
The Durham YMCA offers a wide range of fitness opportunities, is such a diverse organization, and serves the community with summer programs for kids, etc. The staff is friendly and good at what they do! Keep up the good work!

Love the energy, vibe and sense of community
I was hesitant to join the Y until my husband helped motivate me to go with him. I enjoy our morning workouts a lot, and the Lakewood facility is always clean and not too crowded when we go. Looking forward to continuing our health and fitness journey with the help of the Y! :)

Great. Excellent equipment. Solid classes, a lot of schedules to carry them out. Affable staff. Knowldgeable, energetic and inspiring instructors.

Friendly and helpful staff.
The facility is excellent overall but lacks space. There is not enough space to accommodate everyone's needs, and the gym is designed for small groups, making morning events challenging for random members to attend. The staff is amazing, but overall, this YMCA needs renovation to accommodate the city's growing population, as well as more indoor courts and large workout facilities at different locations.

Babysitting, I do recommend you make an option to sign up for babysitting in advance though so it doesn't fill up.
Pool, kids area
The staff are so awesome! Mostly really good equipment and facilities; the pool is pretty cold or hot, though. It must be hard to keep it at a temperate temperature. I'm glad to be a member overall!
