The downtown Durham Y is myfavirite place in Durham.Iti is one of the reasons my wife Julia and I mived back to Durham in January 2925 after I suffered a debilitating stroke. We go to the Y almist every day to exercise and meet new people. It is instrumental to my physical and spidirual recovery. I would like to join the Y's advisory board.

The staff members are exemplary. I work out at 5am and they are cheerful and encouraging at that hour. They make me feel celebrated.

This is my favorite location of any YMCA in the Durham area. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They make you feel like they are happy that you are there.
The staff are extremely pleasant and courteous, the equipment and pool are clean and well maintained. Only downsides are the somewhat beat-up lockers (numbers often illegible) and the racket through the speakers on the gym floor,
