Went to a Drum Fit class on Friday. The women teaching it was so friendly and helpful!
People are friendly, many options for exercise.
Variety of classes
The staff at the front desk is always helpful and kind. The facility is kept clean. I like that they have multiples of the same machines and they also have a wide variety of machines to use, so i dont have to wait to get on a machine. They have many different classes that you can take that are included with your membership, including classes for seniors, which I think is wonderful. The patrons seem to be polite and courteous to one another.
Walking track is great in the winter
There is a wide range of activity options, a very clean locker room and helpful staff.
Basketball Courts arent always available at North Canton so my Sons visit there more often. It seems that they have less problems with Members at Lake also.
For healthy and friend's it's perfect
The people in the class I took were friendly!

The friendly instructors and people in group exercise classes.

The programs and facility is just the right size.
Instructors are wonderful and the classes are fun! It’s great to socialize with others and create new friends. The Y is close to my home and times of classes are convenient.
It's a wonderful place. Very clean and feel comfortable there even with my children.
Nice equipment and close to home
Great facilities , excellent classes and well trained staff.
I have nothing but good things to say about my experience at the Lake YMCA. The people are very friendly, the staff is always willing to help you, and it is a well organized establishment!
The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. I appreciate that it’s close to home but the parking needs to be improved. There are not enough spaces for Y members.
The facility is clean.
The location provides a good variety of equipment to assist in my fitness journey.
Conveniently located.
It would be nice if the hours were extended like the North Canton location.
Staff and members are helpful and friendly.
Hot tub
Great people! Friendly staff and very nice facilities.
Variety of classes, clean workout environment, friendly and helpful staff.
Small, nice workout equipment, not crowded and clean!
So many options in the weight room
Wonderful place
Kelly's yoga class is wonderful
For the most part, I love the facility, the classes, and the staff. Our one complaint is the inconsistency of child care. While there is always staff for the 0-5 year old class, there’s not always consistency for the older kids room. We’ve shown up several times with our 8 year old and that room is closed and we have no place for him to go or hang out and end up having to go home. I would like to see more consistency with having that room be reliable for elementary aged kids in the evenings who aren’t quite old enough to hangout on their own and also aren’t old enough to be in the fitness center.

I love the Lake YMCA. I swim at Jackson, Meyers Lake, occasionally North Canton, and at Lake. Your pool is cool (which lap swimmers love), your locker rooms are clean, and the front desk staff are always kind and welcoming. The one thing that is so very difficult for me, are all of the students in the women's locker room after school. I love the collaboration between the school and the Y. But as a teacher at Lake HS, it puts me in a very uncomfortable position to be in the locker room trying to change and have my students all around me. This past Friday, there was a line to actually use the restroom, because all of the kids were waiting to change in there. I had to go use the girls locker room bathroom (which had 2 people in it) then come back to change. They had their bookbags and things all over the benches - there was no where to put anything. As I was hiding in the dressing room with the thin white plastic shower curtain trying to change into my suit, I could see two students sitting up on the counter where the hair dryer is, on their phones. Could you only imagine if they had their cameras on and caught a glimpse of me? You just have to understand how difficult it is to draw the line between high school kids and teachers, and changing. I was so happy when you added a "women's" locker room years ago. I just wish you would put a key pad on it like Meyers Lake. Jackson and North Canton seem to keep the kids out too, but I am not over there after school, so who knows. After my swim, I was showering, trying to change in a wet shower into my dry clothes. Please - think about this. I love my students. I love seeing them at the Y. I do not want to see them when I changing - it just puts me in a really bad position! Please talk to the other Y's and how they deal with this!
