The Hazelwood Family YMCA is impressive- for many reasons, it's beautiful state of the art building is only one of them. It offers numerous classes in many areas for those of different ages and abilities. There is an incredible pool area with lots of swim lanes as well as a large pool with a beach type entrance and a lazy river. There's even a climbing wall! But it's true strength lies with its people; both staff and members, who have created a micro community of people who make each other's day better.

It’s a clean location to work out with a friendly staff
The water aerobics times are WRONG on the website and the printable pdf schedule.
They are correct on the schedule that is printed out physically that are hanging on the wall by the front desk.
I brought this to the assistant managers attention about one month ago and it has not been corrected.
This needs to be corrected but I was told it was hard to get ahold of the people who do the website.
Clean, safe, organized, roomy, kind & professional staff & appreciate big pool & hot tub
I do want to share a that closing pool & hot tub entire hour earlier when hours changed has been a big disappointment, I want to share why hoping it can be taken into consideration for future hours-
Challenging to get to pool soon enough in evening after work to swim laps for needed 1 hour then enjoy hot hot for 5 minute warmup & 10 minute warm down- now I miss some days of exercise (swimming laps is reason for my family’s membership)
Staying open until 9 PM is very doable yet still earlier than past 9:30 PM close time
I have heard 6 swimmers in locker room complain about new hours & hardship it causes them
I asked front desk reason for such big weekday changes & was told regional decision, have no control
Of course my family appreciates longer hours on the weekends- more like prepandemic hours but not at sacrifice weekday evenings as cannot get 3 - 4 if swim exercise in on weekends,….
I hope my insight helps shape decisions on upcoming hours & that pool facilities can please get to stay open until 9 PM ASAP

Great facility. Instructors care about you. My daughter loves coming here and has learned so much from her instructors. It’s a safe place to find to learn, work out, and live a balance of life. I appreciate all the people at Haselwood.
My only complaint is sometimes desk people are not very helpful, just apologetic. Example, my daughter had a class where it was canceled, without notification or communication. We were a couple minutes late and already had students waiting for the class. No note posted on the door. So I waited for 10minutes then spoke to the front desk.
I ask if there were aware the class was canceled. The front desk personnel did not look, just told me, “Some people did approach here and said the class looked canceled.” I then proceeded to ask if classes do cancel, it there away it can be communicated. Like an email or post. She then proceed to agree, that there should be an email. And proceeded to apologize. However, provided no solution. Like a simple sign to post that today’s lessons were canceled. Instead of waiting members time waiting for class.
I understand that things happen, life events happen. If a class was canceled and they are aware a simple note stating no class session today would have been helpful for the people waiting. Instead of wasting time waiting for a class to not happen. I felt sorry for the kids just sitting there waiting.
I do recommend this place because of its manny classes that is offered to every member of family age 0-101. I have had my own siblings and cousin become members.
The friendly workers that greet when you arrive and always acknowledge you when you leave.
One one thing you need to get more/better rowing machines
Staff is friendly. Teresa is a great instructor.
There’s plenty of space for various exercise and child watch has been great!
I love Theresa and the water aerobics classes that she has.

The director for the camp has been awesome this year. So appreciate her enthusiasm and love for the kids.

I love the Haselwood YMCA! It has so many great classes and activities, but best of all are the people! Both the staff and the members are all so friendly and create a relaxed and welcoming environment. This is no high-intensity "meat market" but rather a place where people of all ages, sizes, identities, and abilities are made to feel welcome! ❤️

It’s size. Very nice and large.
The camp themes were fun & engaging. Kids are kept busy & very active. All of the counselors & staff did a great job working with the kids!
Friendly staff. Nice equipment. Great pool. Great activities for the kids and love that most are included in the cost. Our kids have been going to swim lessons since January and can now swim pretty well.
Only think I would change is I Wish that child watch hours were longer and available on Sunday.
Lots of swim lanes and the pool stays open (i.e. it does not close down like LA Fitness did with toddler classes pooping in the pool!
I love the huge selection of classes and times offered.
The instructors are great and I love their enthusiasm.
