We were in swimming lessons there a couple of years ago, and we left because the instructors were not good. I'm so glad this has been fixed.
Don’t prefer the group lessons, private lessons are amazing for young kids
This Y has everything I need to stay active.
Pool, weight room, bikes, walking track, sauna.
Doesn’t get better than that.
The swim lessons are very high quality, the instructors are great, and the groups of a size that my child gets plenty of individual attention. I also like that they don’t just advance my child to the next level if he’s not ready. They will repeat levels until they mastered the skills, and I respect that.
Small class sizes with instructors who make things fun. My kids (4&6) both loved it.

Everything. Track. Pool. Weight machines up and downstairs. Classes. Wonderful people who work there and care for members.
The instructors were fantastic with our toddler. They never pushed the kids beyond what they were comfortable with and never handled the kids inappropriately. Highly recommend!
I like that they’re on repeat! Every 5 weeks and a one week break are great for us! I love that they can repeat a class as often as it takes for them to learn it. :)
A large variety of activities for all levels of fitness. Many weight training machines, treadmill, exercise bikes, rowing etc. Personally, I am enjoying the complete conditioning classes, and the weight machines.
The facilities and the staff are great. The instructors know how to work with the babies & toddlers, and are actually teaching instead of just doing the acclimation

The entire staff, including the janitorial, front desk, maintenance, etc, are consistently helpful, motivated, and friendly. It's a really nice place to go to, and to bring my granddaughter. I've never seen a better facility.
We love using haselwood ymca for our kids’ swimming lessons. While the younger kids have their lessons, the older ones can play in the pool and lazy river while they wait for their lessons to start. Great teachers and friendly staff.

We have done a total of 6 swim sessions between our two boys. They have all been great and the boys' confidence in the water has skyrocketed. Although all the instructors have been great, I'd like to highlight ellianna. She was such a vital support in my 3 year olds confidence building and helped him gain such courage and focus while in the water.
The instructors are kind and knowledgeable. They help build my daughter’s self esteem while teaching her the skills she needs to be a confident, strong swimmer and she has fun every time she has a lesson.
