Member Testimonials
Staff and members very friendly.
Everything!!
Fulfilling some of seniors important health care needs --exercise--catering to senior abilities and preferences( including music used for classes). also providlng socialization with potlucks, cookie exchange, movies and a wide variety of classes. Staff are welcoming and helpful.
And the building is in good condition and well maintained. Parking is easy. It's a happy place!
overall I enjoy the YMCA and there is a good balance of weight equipment vs. cardio equipment. I would like to see more compliance with wiping down machines and benches after use (almost no one including trainers ever wipe anything down). For the weights it would be great to see you procure some 10 pound plates for the two deadlift cages that are like the 45 pound and 25 pound (blue and green) plates. Having 10 pounds like the 25 and 45 pound green and blue is what is needed for deadlifting as you want the bar to be higher off the ground. thanks
Nice equipment and staff

Friendly service
Staff - classes offered - cleanliness of facility - front desk always greeting clients - positive attitude in the whole place and respect for others.
Staff very helpful and it has diverse, broad based programs.
The YMCA has everything. A great workout area (bikes, stair master, weightlifting, etc.), rooms with classes (yoga, aerobics, etc.), a gym (basketball, volleyball, etc.), an Olympics swimming pool, racquet ball courts, locker rooms, locking lockers. For retired people, it's paid for by Medicare. And it's easy to get to for people in Cave Creek, Carefree.
I attend classes at the ‘Y’ because my Medicare supplement pays for it. If I had to buy a membership on my own I would not be able to afford it
The variety of classes.

The friends, instructors and welcoming atmosphere
The facility is clean, the machines are well maintained, and the staff at the front desk are always welcoming and helpful even at 7am, my usual arrival time! And then there's Nathan, my extraordinary trainer whose skill, enthusiasm, and humor keep me coming. I love the Y. Only wish I had discovered it when I moved here 3 years ago.

Terrific Active Older Adults class. I enjoy all the exercises meant to keep us strong, flexible and mentally acute. The music definitely keeps me motivated to work harder than I ordinarily would.
Last but not least, the Leaders of the class are exceptional and unique. It’s difficult to keep people at our age moving for almost an hour, but Shannon and Debbie do just that!
I’m so fortunate to have found this class.
