I use the facility almost every weekday in the summer and when the pool is closed at Hall Welsh, it provides everything I am looking for, the employees are friendly and helpful, never really have any issues

The Aquatics Team is an enigma. Let me explain, Most of the staff (lifeguards) are OK and some will actually speak to you but the majority are standoffish and just downright rude. I believe this attitude stems directly from the leadership of the department. That woman hides in her office, rarely (in my experience) addresses the membership and when you have a legitimate concern either ignores you or dismisses you. The woman is surly and uncaring and yet will explain to anyone that converses with her "THAT SHE IS IN CHARGE OF THE DEPARTMENT," period!
The staff in the main workout area is non-existent. I can honestly say that I've never had a conversation in that space. They either sit around in the office area or walk around with their noses in the air!
The maintenance staff is in need of more direction. The locker rooms are not always as clean as they should be and the infestation of drain flies is bothersome.
Having said all of this, I must also say that, overall, since the pandemic, the facility is running 100% better than before the closing.
I love walking the track and swimming in the pool. I also work out in the gym. I love the library that is set up at the Y.The people that work at the Y are very nice. I feel blessed I belong to the YMCA!!😊

The Northwest Y has everything a person needs to help them live a healthy life. From the gym to the variety of pools it is the best

Friendliest people of all the Ys--the front desk, the lifeguards, the trainers in the gym. I've always been greeted in a friendly but not fake manner; I've always been listened to with respect when I had feedback to give. I really appreciate them.
Also, it's super clean. The women's locker room and the showers are (almost) always clean.
AND, there is often a lap lane open to swim in. Not always, but often.
I really appreciate having the indoor track available.
It's possible to meet a friend on a rainy or cold CNY day. Before our schedules got too crazy we were meeting at lunch at least 3 days a week for about 4 months. Walking side by side on treadmills just wouldn't be the same.
It also makes walking with a little one possible. Often I see moms with strollers. That would not be an option otherwise.
Front desk staff are phenomenal! Helpful, friendly, and very patient!
