For the most part everyone staff and members are always respectful and polite.
Facility is nicely spread out with circuit training equipment in one area, weight room in another, full size gymnasium, SRC track beautiful for running or walking indoors, and another facility for group work outs. Friendly staff !!

It's generally not too crowded, and I can access whatever equipment I need. It's really close to my house. It's nice that there's always someone at the front to greet me when I enter, and people there are polite to others.

I like all the classes and instructors. I do wish you had an app that works and allowed cancellation of yoga classes up to 45 minutes prior.

The Y at Hal Welsh is such a positive place , not only to work out, but to socialise at and make new friends. I love how the Y gives back to the Central New York community through supporting much needed services: I had the opportunity to volunteer with other members and YMCA staff to give back to other nonprofits, such as, The Salvation Army, and Clear Path for Veterans. There is a great camp program at Camp Evergreen, art for kids at Hal Welsh; Active Older Adult programs, and much, much more. I found my home at Hal Welsh after coming off of Active Duty in the military- where I found joy in volunteering and giving back.

I love the classes for older adults. The instructors are very informative and show us ways to make the work outs easier or harder depending on fitness level!

I like the location, classes, instructors, equipment, pool, and hours of operation. The facility may be dated, but it is clean and has lots of amenities, plus a great staff!
