Great facility - been a member since 2005. Great programs for kids/adults, (my grandkids love the classes). Equipment in nice shape, friendly staff and responsive management.
Men's locker room could use a refresh - doors, lockers, steam room and showers. Showing it's age.....

I am a regular lap swimmer. I appreciate our lifeguards. These are young people who choose the responsibility of being a lifeguard, and, have ensured that I can have a great workout.
Staff are always friendly, helpful and available. Excellent selection of classes. Workout room and pool for lap swimming are rarely crowded. Very clean and well maintained.
I love the instructors that teach the cardio and strength classes. My experience at the North Area Y vs. other Y's is the members seem to be a bit more friendly.

I appreciate the diligence with which staff works to fulfill the huge mission of the Y. While things are not always perfect, I totally recognize it's no easy task to manage so many different threads, all of which are pretty essential to the overall mission. I endlessly thank the folks who make it all happen. The Y is people working together to make a better community.

Terri is a great instructor. What I don’t like the fact that you do not ban the man who threatened staff from the Y. Not only are you putting staff and members at risk you are putting your daycare children at risk.

The Northwest Family YMCA is an amazing community! The facility is impeccable with cleanliness and the front desk staff make you feel welcome along with helpful with whatever is needed including making coffee. Karen does phenomenal with the active older adult classes. Zumba Toning and Les Mills classes have excellent instruction for the great classes. Olivia did a video beneath the surface that was great. Barb, Jill and Denise are superb aqua instructors and we will welcome Sandy Jo for Aqua Zumba when she is able to join us. All the lifeguards are very professional people. The addition of adult swim lessons with John and Sean are great opportunity for adults to learn to swim. Walk With a Doc is a great winter program. The opportunity to hear about Breast Cancer with a presentation upstairs and the World Cancer Day was very informative sparking additional conversation with my specialist. Mark being available to help with Medicare is an invaluable asset. The members and social experience is great.
Very friendly, a place to meet new people and exercise which is great, especially in the winter.
