I use the gym and pool to do my own workouts at whatever times work best for me.
Given this, I like the pool hours allotted for lap/rec swim and hours of the Y for use of the gym.
As a parent, I greatly appreciate the Kids club, and the new kid's classes available to children. Various classes fit well with any schedule, which I appreciate as well.

I like the people who work there and all the people I meet daily in early mornings pool workout. I especially like that there is lane in pool just for walkers & those who exercise. We have had a community of social group & meet outside the pool.

What I like most about Southwest YMCA is the atmosphere. It's very chill there and I like the staff, who are always very welcoming. Tavi and Tonya especially. There is a lot of different equipment to choose from, plus a lot of different classes so there's always variety so you don't get bored. And there's enough equipment so even when it is crowded there's a spot in the cardio room to do a workout. Wish there were more ellipticals that had the wristband scanner.
The people who run the front desk are so supportive and have a smile. Also the instructors who teach our aqua fitness class are so fun and enjoy the wonderful routines they present to us daily. Makes me so happy to have the Southwest YMCA as my beginning of my day. Positive vibes for sure.

Awesome gym and pool
We come several times a week for aerobic exercise, then go to the weight room for the strength training machines that have the yellow balls to follow along, making it easy to get the whole body. Before Covid we used to go to Zumba and Bollywood dance, killer aerobic. We may get back into in when Spring comes. Even though we don't use the programs much, we love that their available.
Aquafit is great!

Programs geared to all ages. Most gyms ignore us old folks.
I am starting there again. My wife uses their aquafitness for years.

Easy to access. The people who staff the Southwest Y are by far it's' greatest asset.

Bodypump evening classes getting too full, what is capacity, maybe require sign up on app and/or have a ticket system?

It is amazing performance without closing swim pool for absence of swim guards. Thank you very much Director.

My wife enjoys group dancing exercises: Zuma, BolyX etc. She will hang out with the participating members after class.
I mainly do lap swimming. I do meet a lot of friendly members in the pool.
