The camp is kid centered and has a wide array of activities. My kids attended the 2nd time this year and loved it! They want to attend for 2 weeks next year. :)

Great experience. Excellent counselors who are fun and attentive! My child loved the horseback riding and especially the slide and activities. She actually very much liked the downtime as well to get to know her bunkmates better. Overall, we are excited to come back!
There is an exciting activity every day like paddle boarding, fishing, going down the big slide, and capture the flag to name a few. The couselors have been great and keep the fun going with cabin magic and group activities!
My daughter loved all aspects of camp. She came back from Camp Watia with more confidence and so many stories to tell. She'll be back again next summer.
You give kids a great time without any of their electronics and they have great outdoor experiences that will help them through life.
So open and friendly, accepting of everyone, kind. So many amazing choices of really cool adventurous outdoor activities for the kids - rock climbing, paddle boarding, swimming, big slide, white water rafting, horseback riding - SO MUCH!!!!

I went to the YMCA as a child. My son goes now. I enjoyed it and he does too.
Cam is awesome!! The other staff have all been wonderful as well. I really appreciate all the time spent outside.
My daughter loves getting to spend time with her friends outside of school hours. The staff are kind and seem to be having just as much fun as the kids. I love that my child is in a safe and engaging environment and not home alone or on a screen.

The workers in the afterschool program are caring and friendly and very engaging with my children. I don't have to worry about my children's safety and well-being while they are in the Y afterschool program. They are also excellent communicators with parents even though your child/children are not their only ones, it feels like their attention is solely on mine.
Very nice staff
I love how happy my daughter is to go to aftercare and how happy she is when I pick her up! There's a true feeling of family and community that I feel with the staff, students and parents. I love that you have music playing while the kids are playing outside, and I feel that there's a great balance of structure and freedom for the kids. The staff seem to enjoy children and let them be kids- get messy and wild within reasonable boundaries. You're all doing a great job- keep up the good work!
The N Buncombe Elementary after school employees are absolutely amazing! The kids are very fond of them all.
