CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK: It would be preferable to have an indoor place to keep lunchboxes. Even with multiple ice packs, lunches are warm by lunch time, and our kids are less interested in eating - which means low energy and grumpiness later in the day. Know it’s tough with so many kids but please consider! Thanks.

We love the opportunities provided to kids through summer camp, especially the tween adventure camp!
The opportunities brought to the kids for continued learning throughout the summer (pottery, science museum, etc.). While also providing many outdoor and summer filled activities for each kid to enjoy.

Our son has attended for three years. He is enjoying the opportunity to be a Councilor in Training this summer (CILT). He even had an thirty minute Zoom interview. What an amazing leadership training opportunity to offer a twelve year old. Way to go YMCA. Thanks for all you do for WNC and our kids.

Awesome fun safe and my kid loves them. Lots of outdoors and learning.
I love the outdoor/nature focus of the Beaverdam camp and they do fun activities and outings for the kids each week. My 6 year old loves going everyday!
My kids love summer camp at the Y. Camp allows them to have fun and stay connected with friends while I work during the day. The counselors are all great!

My children have been going to Watia for several years now. My daughter’s first stay was when she was in second grade. She is now a rising 10th grader. She looks forward to the friendships she makes and all of the fun activities. She always comes home excited about next summer. My son thrives at camp Watia. He loves the activities and mock rock! The counselors are exceptional. We spend several weeks after camp talking about the amazing counselors and directors. Names continue to pop up in our conversations weeks and even months after camp.
