Love that it's mostly/all outside, that there's a good amount of free play but also structure to the day. The field trips and pool days are another awesome feature. The counselors are kind and understanding. We will definitely be returning next year!

We love the Beaverdam Summer Camp program. Year after year it's been amazing for my son, it keeps his body moving and is a great experience for him engaging with kids from around the Asheville area. Thank you to all the Beaverdam staff for another fantastic summer.

My nephew Karson loved being a part of the CILTS. He loved helping with the skits, games, and learning a lot from the counselors. He led a Star Wars opening ceremony and he is hooked on the magic of camp!
Lily, JR, and the entire Youth Services team made this summer our best one yet. The girls adore Summer Day Camp with the YMCA of WNC and come home every day happy and tired. We can't wait for next year!
Ms. Beth-Ann, Ronnie & Ms. Wendy are three of the finest instructors that this program has. They take the time to learn each child and to really form a great relationship and repour with them. They are patient, kind, understanding, loving and encouraging. They are creative and keep the students engaged and focused. Both of my boys have really come to trust them, and it has shown greatly in how they behave. They feel comfortable and safe with all three of these teachers. This is extremely rare to come by, and I am so grateful for them. They are absolutely wonderful with the after-school program as well.
Programs are always fun, flexible and rotating. Communication is great and the staff goes above and beyond to take care of the kid (and the parents). We switched away from our original booking and did four weeks at other camps. We should have stuck to the plan as our daughter and us enjoyed the YMCA camp the best and we look forward to more memories next year!

Staff is absolutely wonderful. I know they had some short staffing issues this summer, but it was handled as best as it could have been and they all did a great job. Can really tell they actually care about all the kids there. Love the YMCA camp!

Love all the activities the campers get to do. They are well taken care. It's a huge relief to know my kiddo is safe and happy while I, a single working mom, can work to support our family.
Excellent programming at the Discovery Day Camp (field trips, presentations, daily activities). Gives my kiddo something to talk about. Our local camp also has fantastic staff, many of whom have been there all 4 years that my son has attended. They do a great job keeping kids safe, and they are very responsive to parent needs and questions. Is more affordable than some of the other camps in Buncombe county. Would highly recommend this camp!

My kids loved YMCA camp! They took field trips to the pool, parks and nature center, played sports and games. Counselors were caring and attentive. We’ll be back next summer :)

This is my kid's favorite summer camp. The counselors are so great and he always makes lots of friends and has so much fun. He also learns new things and I love that they take field trips to the pool or nature center or roller skating.
