We love that the program is located at our child's school. Amelia has loved all of her after school caregivers. She enjoyed the arts and crafts, as well as all the time outside on the playground. Thank you!
The hours for care, the school's out days, and summer camps. There are really no other options in Buncombe County for this kind of after-school care outside of the Y. Its a lso a great perk that we get Y membership for the family!
Our kid loves the aftercare program, he’s made lots of friends and I like how they rotate groups and activities. The counselors are all wonderful and I have full trust in them.

Miss Jessie made all kids feel welcome, included and engaged this year. I appreciate her approach- she uses much more reward than punishment and keeps kids safe. She is a gem.

I LOVE this program because they helped make my job a lot easier! They keep the kids till six, which is fantastic because anybody who has ever traveled on 26 knows that there could be any kind of delays that may take more time than the 20-30 minutes you have to pick them up after school is dismissed.

My family and I love McDowell Co YMCA afterschool program! Ms Angel & Ms Tyla are always so kind and loving! The kids feel very welcomed, happy, and safe!
