I do not live in an town with a Metal Supermarkets store. I needed a 1-foot section of bar stock to be delivered to my wife, who was in the area for meetings and who would bring it home for me. The people in the shop went out of their way to help me out and get the item delivered to her hotel across town. Keep in mind, this is just a one-foot section of 1 1/4-in x 2-inch bar stock. But the staff at the Kelowna Metal Supermarkets put in a tremendous effort to make sure I got it; I might have well be ordering a ton of the stuff given effort they put into making sure I got it. These guys seem to understand that to small fry like me, a short section of much-needed steel is of the same importance as getting tons of it to the big players. Their customers service is outstanding.

I work predominately in mild steel and would never think about buying a ready cut piece. I buy sheets and full lengths- but for a special job where an unusual size or different material is required it was great to simply order what I needed- pay up front and drop in to collect, all of which was very straight forward.
It was easy to deal with you, your service was good and fast and so was the delivery. Pricing is also reasonable, web site is easy to deal with. We will do business again for sure.
